Great stuff looking forward to this one. Can you tell me will there be the ability to charge batteries etc as I don't have a generator?

DJ's Dad 14-06-2012 11:10 AM

RoyalCBR, there isn't usually any power provision at Broxtowe. Most use generators or their car battery?
Cheers Nigel.

Yes please that would be great - thanks. Sorry to sound like a plum but how would I connect my charger to it - I think I have some crocodile clips - would they work?

Cheers, Mark

Hpi_guy 15-06-2012 01:45 PM

Yep crocodile clips will work, I'll be under the green and white gazebo and with the Hirt course with a black and white cow shell

Hpi_guy 15-06-2012 01:46 PM

Short course, silly predictive text

RoyalCBR 15-06-2012 05:33 PM

Cheers, I will see you there :)

Tracks still good despite a little mild rain today. Tomorrow should be better. See you all there.

Well done Jon. Great results in both classes. Dominator!!!'m:thumbsup:

TonyM 17-06-2012 09:09 PM

It was my first time at the Nationals today and only the second time I've raced a truck - but heck it was HOOT.

I really liked the relaxed atomosphere and friendly racing. Appologies to those I got in the way of as I struggled to learn not to push my truck like a buggy.

I might even consider the next round - but it's a long, long way from Southport.

RoyalCBR 18-06-2012 08:20 AM

Great event, well done to all the guys at the Broxtowe club for hosting a smooth (and rain free) event

Would like to say a massive thanks to the guys from A1 racing club (Will, Dave and Rob) plus of course the Telstar SC regulars - roll on the next round :woot:

Surley a bin bag would have been more suitable for your car Will

Cracking day yesterday close racing throughout the day, in both qualifying and finals. Got into second place in all three finals and then binned it

Cracking result for Team C with 5 cars in the A final

RoyalCBR 18-06-2012 01:01 PM

Poor Will's truck went through all sorts over the course of the day - but it did look much better in the finals.

Oh and thanks for the body post support Robbie, my super glue techniques weren't working.

Plus on that note I would like to add (I might be wrong), but also a Team C/Ansmann result in the B Final with a 1-2 and a 2nd in the C Final as well!

Hpi_guy 18-06-2012 03:30 PM

Ha ha very funny rob, I suffered from a electric headache all day

You were lucky I had broken one the week before hence I had a spare

carpenterdean 18-06-2012 07:16 PM

Glad you enjoyed it dude... dirty truckin' rules!

gonna have to start checking for these alleged 'Team C' kit boxes... think their owners are denying the true identity or Jono is paying very well :p

Excellent weekends racing on a superb track, thanks Broxtowe boys!

My only complaint would be of the 3 drivers who cheated in round 3 of the 2wd A final. Cutting through the pull off section and missing the middle of the track is un-acceptable. I know SC racing is fun and not über serious but when people cheat it puts a downer on the people in the race who are playing by the rules and have paid a lot of money to be their and puts the results into disrepute. This was reported to the race director on the day but I am not sure what was done about it?
