Hi all,
Just about to start day 2 of the Euros - 2wd qualifying. Practice was yesterday on a very dry track that disintergrated quiet badly. The whole field is getting around the track well. There was a massive thunderstorm last night and a load of rain fell. The top layer of the track is now spongy mud..... not good. Still have two hours till the start of qualifying and the skies are blue - so hopefully an improvement before the start of round 1. Mick - Heat 4 Will - Heat 5 Derek - Heat 8 Top drivers heats 10, 11, 12 |
Best of luck lads
|
Good luck guys, post some photos if you get chance..

Hi all, just a quick update before the finals,
Round 4, Mick's slipper clutch backed off by itself Derek got a 9 lapper in 5.12 I broke a rear ball stud Round 5 Mick put in a good run 9 in 5.07 Derek was taken out by a back marker 2 or 3 times A marshall didn't turn up for my heat and race director didn't notice - I spent a lap on my roof - 9 in 5.30 Finals are as follows Will 73 (H Final) Derek 76 (H Final) Mick 80 (H Final) Should be an interesting final  |
An Irish 1,2,3 any order will do

Unlucky Will, thought you had it there. :(

Oh well, did do a few 32.5 second laps which is only a second or so off the top boys, so not all doom and gloom! It's damp this morning and cooler for 4wd practice. |

Qualifying for 4wd couldn't have gone much worse!
Derek had a lipo cell failure, servo failure, reciever failure and a desoldered wire in his four heats - so he didn't finish any qualifying runs. Last round was cancelled due to rain. Qualified K6 Mick got around but had some crashes and problems with traffic in his heats - Qualified I3 I had handling problems iand resulting crashes in heat 1 and 2. I had a drive pin failure in round 3, but limped to the finish. Motor moved out of mesh in round 4.....hhmmm! Round 5 was cancelled. Qualified I10 |
|
Well done on Derek on winning the K final, I know you still wont be happy but a win non the less. What a drive by Will to win the I final, talk about leaving it late, was off my seat shouting at my pc...lol Congratulations guys.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
|
Just having a beer or six tonight with some drivers after a long week!! Bring home a trophy too after winning my final in style!
Put in a few 31.5 second lap times too |
