dbizzle5 12-06-2012 09:34 PM

Track is fine and good in the rain so will be open sat and sun.

nottmboy 12-06-2012 09:36 PM

seriously though as far as broxtowe are concerned if people want to run then we'll run.
the track doesn't flood and gives good grip when wet.
it would be down to the championship organisers to call it.
we'll be there
cheers andy

Blutack + Balloons + Coat = Race...

A pink waterproof one!

Broxtowe is an awesome track, wet or dry... its even very good in the frost!

Had meetings there where it has rained non stop start to finish and the racing went on and was good.

It certainly handles the rain better than Coventry did and you lot voted to carry on and then finish early when the rain stopped and it was drying?!!!

Hpi_guy 12-06-2012 10:25 PM

Does the track drain well?

TonyM 12-06-2012 10:32 PM

Rick Dean and I are travelling from the Southport area for our first SC National (woop woop!!!) and we're used to the wet stuff, albeit with buggies - bring it on. :D

wes 13-06-2012 06:04 AM

No need to worry about the track draining, it can rain all day without any sign of standing water.

I'd do the Blue Peter thing only if I had an adult to help me.

My rule is it's only too wet to race if my truck is floating ;-)

Robbiejuk 13-06-2012 12:22 PM

I race SCT at broxtowe when peed it down all day at one of the winter series rounds. I had no problems all day and my Schumacher Blues were gripping fine. Got some silvers to try for this weekend

wes 13-06-2012 03:29 PM

Frecklychimp 13-06-2012 04:47 PM

you should be grateful... why do you think Schuey Silvers were released? Maybe we took action after skidding around at Coventry

You worn down the only set of dBoots Multibytes in existance yet Wes?

Hpi_guy 13-06-2012 05:00 PM

Yellow or blue minispikes for the wet?

Frecklychimp 13-06-2012 05:09 PM

Erm... Silver Minispikes for the wet!

dbizzle5 13-06-2012 05:47 PM

What do people use to waterproof there truck? Is there a underbody or summat I can get for my X2c before the weekend?

shark 13-06-2012 05:52 PM

Will an x2c buggy shell fit under Dan ?

dbizzle5 13-06-2012 05:53 PM

Dont think so pal. The chassis is too long I think.

shark 13-06-2012 06:07 PM

Hpi_guy 13-06-2012 06:24 PM

Neither very well, which is why we tested Silvers and got them released

You may be ok as Broxtowe has a lot of grip in the wet due to the type of astro... but you won't keep up with those using Silver Minispikes.

Ring Lewis at A1 Hobbies... think he had an underbody in for the Ansmann truck, there was a used SC10 one kicking around in there that might fit.

Or just do what i do... cut the bottom of a carrier bag, slide it over front end so it wraps chassis and gaffa tape it round

At least you can still get to the power switch easily... by soft feel!

Can't get one for my slimfast chassis so gonna have to book a moulding session at G-Speed INC

wes 13-06-2012 07:05 PM
