So Scott, would you advise actually parking on Park Ave in Barrow to carry the racing gear to the track as it looks a lot shorter distance than parking in the car park at the leisure centre?

Thanks

Damo.

Hi Damo,

Yes Park ave is defo the shorter Route, however you can only park on one side (neerest park) so once the road fills up it may be just as quick to park in the other 2 car parking areas. Alongside the pitting area is going to be a "fun day" with rides stalls etc so the road may fill up fast. i just wanted to put all the options on the lil diagram. pluss if you park by the leisure centre you can walk the scenic route to the track, mayb even throw some bread to the ducks and watch the seagulls fight over it :woot: always woth a watch !!!

Scotty

andy05 07-06-2012 08:09 PM

i take it you carnt park/pit at the track then i usually use my cars(big) battery to charge off could be a problem how far is the walk from the pit to the car park then?

scotty_big_flip 07-06-2012 09:31 PM

its only like a 4min walk if that. get ur self down ur local scrappy and pick up a cheep/free car battery  it would be grate if we could park cars in the pits, but its a no go from the council. :(

Lol. Its Stu wood. Only one of me.:). I have been looking at the weather all week as it is a long way and if it os raining then I can not afford to blow stuff up this close to a National. I will decided first thing in the morning.

It's not the weather off tommorow that I'm concerned about its the condition off the track after 2 days of heavy rain.
I don't want to spend 5 hrs and £50.00 on derv to find out the track isn't up to the job.

jenski 16-06-2012 03:05 PM

Forecast is looking good. Even if it's raining Barrow will still run regardless I think.

Just get the full spikes strapped on :)

gazhillAE 16-06-2012 06:36 PM

Full spikes should be banned from regionals!

I agree mate!
I'm not arsed what I get this season really not bothered and I'm not willing to travel up there and waste £70 in fuel for it to be called off after one round!

scotty_big_flip 16-06-2012 06:39 PM

rain or shine the meet will run. welcome to our world, we travel these distances every weekend racing at southport, burry, preston. But the weathers looking good and the area drains well, ive just been track side and all looks ok. No rain in Barrow atm.

Try not pressing the loud pedal so hard, does wonders for mpg.
