A lot of Kyosho DB1s hit the track today all over the world.
I have had some feedback already so here goes...... Congrats to Kev Lee for TQ and the Win at 2nd Mid-South regional at DMS. - That's 2 2wd wins in a row now. Myself third at that meet. Same event, congrats to Steve Brown for 6th place (DB1) and a massive congrats to Scott Falkner for making his first regional 2wd A final with a DB1 with over 90 people competing. Great result Scott 4 cars in the main A final is just great I also heard that Paul Field qualified 3rd and finished 3rd at his regional so congrats to Paul too.... Super super stuff ....congrats to all Any other results or feedback please post here |
Great result for all the cars. Awesome to be part of such a helpful and motivational team. Car is built well, drives well and easy to drive. Superb car for drivers from club level to national. Smooth, quiet and consistent. Very happy with my car for the future.

Great car, I just need to raise my game now!

Although this sounds like an advert - LOL
At the DMS Regional BRCA event Sunday 20th of May, it has to be mentioned that drivers driving DB1s had the fastest single laps of the whole event Information kindly supplied by Darren Boyle Kev Lee = 15.41 Stephen Brown = 15.60 Tony Evdoka = 15.66 Scott Faulkner = 15.93 And the only other person that managed a 15 sec lap was F1 driver Matt Owen that did a 15.99 |

I've very near run out of cars and this is the second batch..... I am extremely pleased that everyone is getting on with them though - very please.....makes it all worth the effort..... ps - As for sponsoring Matt....I already do but you have to have some fast guys to beat - LMAO (he will know what I mean) |
Do you have a list of 2wd parts that are needed if i was to convert an fs2 sp?
|
Hi Matt,
If you email me on the link below I can send you a front end parts list. Cheers Kev |
Just gave the car a quick astro test before work and I'm speechless. Absolute awesome car, faster, easier and more stable than anything I've driven.
I thought the Vega was good, but this is something else. Well done to all those involved in the development of this. I even think I could get it round as quick as a 4WD... Looking forward to SHRCC this weekend. |
I knew this would happen - you are all getting quicker and I am getting older - LOL

Look forward to trying mine tonight on Astro and then tomorrow at SHRCC

I've seen a few of these in action now including Tony's, Kev's, and Scott's. They seem to be really balanced cars, and look amazing in the air.
A big thumbs up to all involved in the design and development of the car. |
Has anyone run one on grass yet? interested to hear how it goes when the grip levels drop.

DB1 on Grass
I ran the DB1 at our Regional in Cornwall at the weekend.
The car was really good i am very pleased with it. The straight was very very very long . I was running a 6.5 with the timing increased on the speedo to keep up with some of the other drivers running 5.5's. One of the nicest things is that the transmission is so smooth and quiet it makes it a joy to drive. Because some of the track was well worn and bumpy with dirt patches in places i ran the longest possible links on the rear and softened the damping. I believe there is a lot more to come from the car as i did not have time to really play with the set up. I will be running at Tiverton this weekend on a mixture of astro and grass should be interesting  |
what is the Front/Rear weight bias on this car?
|
Normally manufacturers and racers have to buy a car to discover that kind of information, especially for copy purposes.....LOL

Mr Foley run his on Tuesday night at Silverstone RCMCC and it look really good for a hurried build. 3 other members of the club have purchased the DB1 kits and should be running next week.

DB1 debut
Took my DB1 for its debut at Broxtoxe car club last night & have to say it was awesome!
Once I put it on some decent tyres it came alive! Superb turn in, superb traction, awesome bump handling! Was going to back to back it with my Vega, but was so impressed I couldn't leave it alone! Lol Can't wait to run it again. Think it'll be our next regional on grass. Bring it on! Thanks to Tony & Kev for all the help & advice. |
Quarnting was a success then my great mate ? Get in ..... Lets rock

I heard today that Paul Field got 2nd at the South West regional just behind Chris Rowcliffe (F1) and thus Paul is now currently top F2…..superb news Scott Faulkner backed up his A final from DMS Regional event with a great qualification at the SHRCC Regional today with a 8th position on the grid and 3 great legs in the A to give him a 6th finish – big well done to Scott :) 5 Kyosho based cars in the main A with 4 of them being DB1s Kev Lee, Matt Perry, Tony Evdoka, Scott Faulkner and Steve Brown - super finishing results….. Here is Scott with his DB1 – well done Scott Here is Kev that today cleaned up the BRCA Regional Mid-South Championship driving his Kyosho DB1. Impressive with a TQ and win on every round thus far…..top man….. |
