make sure you delete the old driver and then reload it.

Vista or xp?
|
xp ian
any ideas??? |
Open control panel and printers, is the HP printer showing up? Right click it and set it to default, then try.
The drivers are here: http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driv...ormation/3405/ |
check the link that southwell has given or this link and run the check before you down load the driver;) Question the XP version you downloaded was it XP or XPx64?

Have you had any problems at all while using just your pc or laptop???

LOL but i didnt think id have this much trouble im going to remove all drivers for the printer again and try to download the driver one last time!!!! |
as usual it said you can just plug the keyboard in and go!!!
so i downloaded the driver from microsofts site for the keyboard and as one of you said, went into the control panel and changed everything to english/uk Hey presto all keys now work:thumbsup::thumbsup: so thanks to all on that one!!! |
how are you connecting them???? usb, ethernet or parrallel
If using ethernet make sure you clear the port aswell. |
printer is connected by usb
|
you have a pm
|
go to: start, run, type services.msc. Find the print spooler and restart it, that 'should' clear the old job.
Try plugging the printer into another usb port and letting it install again, the error you are getting is the HP printer driver. |
Give this a go: To resolve the issue, follow the steps below.
1. Right-click on My Computer, and select Properties. 2. Click on the Advanced tab. 3. Under Performance, click Settings. 4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab. 5. Select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: option. 6. Click Add.... 7. Browse to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpzeng0 7.exe and click Open. 8. Click Apply. 9. Click OK, and OK again. |
Hi ian just tried that but it didnt find the hpzeng0 7.exe part????
had other ones but not that one:confused: help!! |
Im guessing thats your problem then. Put in the CD and search for that file, put it in the folder and follow above.
If you cant find it, it is here: http://www.alexander.com/SymServe/hp...0/hpzeng07.exe |
Southwell, He has the driver software in a folder on his desktop!! He'sput the software on his son's laptop and everything is o.k
|
Then it's just that file missing. It is looking for it to get the job to the printer, not finding it and failing.
