are you racing Ash? or are you reserve?

Kopite 21-04-2008 04:18 PM

i remember last year being superb weather on the Saturday, and bobbins on the Sunday.

I also remember a certain Mr Phil Channon running the quiz on the Saturday night .

I had a cracking laugh that weekend, until i woke up at 5am Sunday morning hanging out of the boot of my car :(

Kopite 21-04-2008 04:32 PM

i was just really really hammered, think i was drinking with Ben Riley, Paul Rotheram and a few others. I was going to sleep in Jamie Banks' caravan, but decided i didn't want to wake them up, so put the back seats down in my car, and fell asleep with my top half in the boot, and my legs on the mud. i was freezing when i woke up :(

Northy 21-04-2008 04:33 PM

Legend

You let Ben Riley out drink you? I KNOW he's shite at drinking

If its tarmac we may as well run snouring cars. And slick tyres:thumbdown:

IceMike 21-04-2008 05:42 PM

haha, awesome. nah its on the bank but would be fun to have abit of both

ashleyb4 21-04-2008 05:43 PM

There will be no tarmac on the track lol

The Factory Team Pub Quiz will be making a return this year, hosted again by Phil Channon.

The area between the trailer rostrum and the buildings HAS just been freshly tarmac'd so it is great for hard standing pitting. You could even run TC's on it if you were that way inclined.

We have track designs ready, the track will be smaller and tighter than previous years, but instead of being made to feel embarassed about our grass we are embracing it.. grass is good. grass is now different!. If anything it's retro!

Its going to be great :)

im gonna link my video again... get that grass in your nostrils!

here goes...

ashleyb4 21-04-2008 05:47 PM

The hard standing would also be good for caravan without awnings if its wet.

telboy 21-04-2008 05:51 PM

Danny McGee 21-04-2008 05:51 PM

Did you?! The last time me and Paul saw you you'd fallen asleep inside the back of your car... because me and Paul kept trying to wake you up!

For god's sake don't do another one of them wanky corners with random stuff under astro, 'cos it's crap.

If the track improves as much this year as it did between '06 & '07 it should be very good.

Glad to hear the quiz will be back, it was ace last year.

Richard Lowe 21-04-2008 06:07 PM

With smaller diameter markings hopefully, not the past couple of years' large diameter magnetic ones ;)

Dont worry stu if anyone trys to put pipe or wood under astro this year ill shove it somewhere where the sun doesnt shine :p

A

Chrislong 21-04-2008 06:13 PM

I agree with Stu, please no ripples or random things under astro.

With a good layout and no rain, it ought to be a great event.
