BMAX4 Worlds kit

Hi,

Does anyone have or know where I can purchase this conversion kit?

Regards

jamiew 14-05-2012 06:12 PM

I really liked my bmax but lack of backup setups etc made me buy something else.

Which is a shame as its a very good car:confused:

discothesnake 14-05-2012 07:10 PM

Naushad I'm sure Race and Drift in Japan do it. They are best for Yok stuff.

Dave

Naushad 14-05-2012 09:14 PM

I think the Bmax is the best handling 4wd off road. I've had a great experience with it.

Yes...it's no Ferarri like the Durango, but it works well! Additionally it's really durable too.

I figure that I ain't a team driver but at the most an average Joe club racer. I've amassed loads of spares so I have no hesitation driving it! No one is effectively supporting Yokomo off road in the UK...I guess most stores will sell their stock and not back order.

Lots of people are leaving it...but like all good off roaders i predict there will be a resurgence - at least in the UK I hope!

Anyhow, enough ranting..I'm still looking for a Worlds kit. Dave - I've heard about Race and Drift but I'm a bit unsure about their service as I've heard not so good things. I'll need some reassurance first.

I've tried to email Asia Racing Team in France and Eseller in Switzerland...no reply as yet.

I guess there is Rc Champ aswell...but rather have a store closer to home:)

Hi Naushad. I have ordered quite a but from race and drift and had no issues. However I must advise about eseller as I have not heard such good things, items taking quite a while to arrive and as you have seen poor communications. I have not personally ordered from him but a heads up for you. There is a thread on here about it somewhere.

Good luck with the yok as it was one of the best I have ever driven.

discothesnake 14-05-2012 10:22 PM

I think it was myself who started the thread about eSeller. I bought stuff from him and the comms were really poor. Then he came on here shouting and bawling at me for bad mouthing him. All I had done was ask if anyone had dealt with him. Don't really think I'd use him again.

As for race and drift, their service is great. Only problem is you'll get hammered for import tax.

Dave

Naushad 15-05-2012 12:02 AM

Hi

Thanks for that but race and drift dont seem to have the conversion kit in stock listed on their site

CODMAN 15-05-2012 11:20 AM

Tim at Race and Drift gives great fast service. Neushad, if they don't have it in stock, they can get it very fast as they are near Yokomo headquarters. Contact Tim by e.mail and ask him if he has it/ can get it, and how fast. he got parts for me from Yokomo within a few days and shipped them out...

The BMax might not be as bling or as nervous as some other cars... But that it's strong point! It's suspension is superb (best I've driven) and predictable... And durability... Well enough said...

Naushad 15-05-2012 01:02 PM

Hi

Cheers codman.

Yeah bmax ain't twitchy unlike the Durango - which is still a top ride!

I will contact race and drift!

discothesnake 15-05-2012 01:06 PM

Naush, just fork out and by the full worlds kit!!! It's only £400!!!

Matt Butcher 15-05-2012 01:10 PM

take a look here: http://www.fast-webshop.com/yokomo-b2c-tonisport

Naushad 15-05-2012 01:18 PM

It did cross my mind:D

I love building...and to have a new kit with a fresh build is a unique experience in itself!

Thing is I don't think the wife quite sees it that way..:woot:

Thanks for the link, but I don't hold much hope here...the kit is out of stock and lots of their items likewise.

Hmmm.

Yip, Tonisport only looks any good if your after bodyclips and wheel nuts.

Everytime i look at the b max, i want another one.

Naushad 15-05-2012 01:34 PM

Yep...I suffer from the same ailment Dave!

Need to stop watching those Bmax RC vids on youtube...

Remind myself it's also the driver not only the car that makes it look good!;)

B-MAX 4 II World Spec grass setup

Hello,

Does anybody have a grass setup for a B-MAX 4 II World Spec?

Thanks

Naushad 16-05-2012 02:50 PM

Try petit.com

IgorR 16-05-2012 07:33 PM

I did try Petit RC they have a grass setup for the B-MAX 4 but not the world Spec.
I'm running it for the shock and some of the drive train. The car is easy and fast.

I'll keep trying things.

Naushad 16-05-2012 11:08 PM

The world spec kit looks good...I hope it makes a difference to the bmax!

I've got some experience with all the stores mentioned so far. As Toni (great store for Speed passion and other stuff) seems to focus on touring and pan cars when it comes to Yokomo, I ordered most of my parts at Asia Racing Team - thumbs up so far! I don't need to comment on eSeller as it seems... rcrace-and-drift is also a very good store, but I prefer a Europe-based source for bigger orders.
ART have the conversion kit in stock; i'd give it a try.

canon67 17-05-2012 07:40 PM

I've been waiting for a reply from ART for several days now, too; I had a wrong/missing part in my last order and wonder how to get my replacement...
Good to hear that you found a nearby source. I got word from Toni that his off-road parts are supposed to be shipped this week. Domestic parts support is always nice!

Naushad 23-05-2012 11:03 PM

Well this is the second time I've tried art without success...

mes 27-05-2012 08:59 AM

I got my missing part yesterday from ART without receiving an E-mail response. Their CS/contact department seems not to be the best, but they are dependable nontheless. :)
Miobosport is also good to deal with, managed to get the stock B-Max4II for my son from Michal. The cheap version seems to be discontinued, it does not appear in Yokomo's 2012 catalogue anymore.
The car was a nice built as expected. Apart from the body and wings package it is identical to the old B-Max4. I've never seen better plastic shocks!

Naushad 28-05-2012 09:19 AM

So if I needed something from them
I should just place an order and that should be enough

mes 28-05-2012 05:55 PM

Worked out for me both times.
First time was pretty quick for international shipping (ordered Friday night iirc, delivery on Monday), second time was still ok (Friday to Saturday the week after; must have been stuck at the export rail station). Oh, and I got a free set of chrome-style Yokomo/ART stickers. :D
