WHY SCHUMACHER, WHY? K1 hole?

WHY, Have you decided to pre drill holes for the antenna in the K1 Shell?

I do not run an antenna and many like me do not run one, most 2.4ghz systems, have short antenna wires, no need for an antenna.

I have a hole in the shell i do not want. just had a £35 paintjob and thats awsome, but with a random hole in it, has truly annoyed me. Looks crap in my opinion.

Not a happy chappy, you never drilled them before, why start now? :(

Truly a terrible decision. Love the car otherwise. this has annoyed me loads thou.

I would say, 1/4 of cars i see running round the track have an antenna now. This seems like a mad thing to start doing now. :eh?:

if your biggest gripe about the K1 is a pre-drilled body hole then it must be a superb kit

YES

ITS Awsome, I love it truly.

But the hole in the shell has really annoyed me. Need some one else to make a shell for it now so i dont have to have an unwanted hole in the shell. Really unhappy about it.

Daz

Whilst it is true that many people install the antenna inside the body shell Spektrum recommend "best practice" installation to be 'inside a vertical aerial tube with the tip as high as practical.'

Don't let vanity compromise performance you grumpy old git!

The wire is not long enough to be in a tube. my statement stands, simple.

Not grumpy. Just really annoyed about it. REALLY!!!!

I have never had one second of interferance in ANY of my buggies with the antenna wire inside the body.

The hole is not wanted and i hate it.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

That would piss me off a bit as well, I had kinda the same feeling when I got my TLR22 and found the body shell to be really badly cut out.

I think it should be left in one piece.

I have to say, they cut them out wondefully and the quality is great(schumacher), and predrilling the mount holes is ok as you really have to use them. but not the antenna hole.

I have really been put off schuey a little by this(thats hard to do as i LOVE them), but its truly bitten my butt the wrong way!!!!

Grow up you big girls blouse! :p

mark christopher 17-12-2012 09:03 PM

solution, stratigically placed decel = sorted

Hpi_guy 17-12-2012 09:06 PM

really darren, you are put off schumacher by one hole in the shell?? :p

TARTMAN 17-12-2012 09:15 PM

yep

Its really annoyed me. not the quality, customer service, the cars etc etc, LOVE schumacher. totally.
BUT

To just have a hole drilled where its not wanted, has truly peed me off. ALOT.

Hence this posting and an email to them to ask why they decided it was a good idea?

I HATE having a hole where its not needed in a shell. I have bought a used shell before, with a hole where it was not needed and thats fine of course.
This is a NEW shell. on a NEW car. Why they decided that i have to have a hole where they decided an antenna should be. well? WHY>??

This is a thread asking why they did it and who agrees/disagrees with it i guess.

I am amazed they have done it. and annoyed to as you can all tell.

I have had no problems with Schumacher since coming back racing 16 months ago and there customer service and cars are awsome. But this one thing, yes, a hole, has soured my taste alot. It just makes NO sence AT ALL they would drill a hole in the shell in a place that they think everyone wants one when SOOOO many would not want it.

I hate it. REALLY hate it.

As i said, if you bought a new electric 1:1 car and they put a hole where the fuel should go in, but as its electric its not needed, but the hole was still there, would you say, oh well. stick a decal over it, no, you would be rather peed off i would think, as its toally not required!

I have had an amaizing Gainsy graphic paint job done on my shells for the 2013 season. the SV2(no extra holes), the SX3(no extra holes) and the Supastox(no extra holes).......... now the K1, and its got a damn hole where it is NOT needed!

WHY?????:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

TARTMAN 17-12-2012 09:22 PM

LOOK

Awsome paint job, yes. great looking shell, yes..........

damn hole where its not wanted YES!!!!!!!

Really annoying.

Do not want to put stickers on it, do not want to use a fake antenna.

options, none. live with it.........:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
