I'm having to be patient till next Sunday. Need to get the winter and wet clothes out of the loft.

Dave, how is the D4 and did you get a motor sorted?

How are you doing. Yeah I'm not going. Was going to suggest racing every other week in winter.

That way the numbers come for the days that we race etc.

Hopefully my MRT PT will arrive next week :D

Cheers,

Mike

I have asked the moderators if we can have our own section on here :)

Any reply to if we can?

mikeyscott 31-10-2009 04:04 PM

D4 was fine. The motor was quick, maybe too quick for the conditions. Had the wrong tyres too on the back. Had yellow spikes and should of gone for pins. I should be there next weekend if the weather is good, working tomorow. Looks like a washout tomorrows anyway i am sad to say

yellow pins all round for me worked a treat, it's good to see your D4 on track. the more 4wd's the better

wonder when someone will turn up with a b-max ? or maybe the new D4 b10......

would be interesting to see how these cars would do on our bumpy track

Not sure it's in the shops yet, think it's called the D4 b10. basically it's a plastic D4.

yes lets hope next week is better, the track is more entertaining when wet but not when it's falling from the sky too !

with weather now changed for the winter maybe it's tents from now on:o

with the withdrawal symtoms already kicking in I will be chomping at the bit for racing next week so it had better go rain somewhere else........

Randall34 01-11-2009 01:46 PM

Will anyone be running 2wd in the coming weeks? Or is everyone switching to 4wd for the winter?

Hi,

There will still be a number of 2WD runners. I'll bring my XXCR along anyway, but I think a number of us move to 4WD when the summer season comes to a close.

Overall I reckon the 2WD numbers will still be greater than the 4WD

Regards,

Mike

criscrum 01-11-2009 06:12 PM

i will be there as its my only car my car is the orange b4

Randall34 02-11-2009 07:53 AM

Should be delivered this week, but if it isn't I'll just use the AMB PT from the Losi.

Weather isn't looking good all week, so I'm not holding my breath for Sunday.

Randall34 03-11-2009 07:44 AM

PM'd Mikey,
i have a PT, is your system running now?

Julian is testing it at the moment and hopefully this weekend will be the first weekend we'll use it. So pending how well it goes I can see us using it the following week.

mikeyscott 03-11-2009 07:13 PM

For those that are regulars at the club, if you have a PT can you message me the number so I can try and get it added to the timing software. Just trying the software out on my laptop to try and assist Julian. Lighten the load etc.

The Cat certainly won't be having heat issues from now on

the weather again does not look good :(

http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/11

but it still might change, if it is only going to be showers there is a chance we can still get some racing done. ;)

I have new body shells on the way to use through the winter and will have various top quality sticker sheets to do designs from.

So if people are getting new shells for the winter I will be offering a painting and stickering service at very reasonable prices for people who race at TORCH.

They will be a minimum or three colours and will have a racing look to the design.

You supply the body shell and I will do the rest.

Yellow mini pins work a treat as people who were there two weeks ago will have seen my Tamiya win all but one race............yes a Tamiya! :p

Yes you are right Mike, it was only cos Steve wasn't there but it does show how good a Tamiya can be when set up correctly. :)

Saturday does look like it will be the better day weather wise but if as it says just showers on the Sunday, it just might be worth taking the chance and getting up and goind to the track and racing inbetween the showers.

I suppose we all will have to wait and see on the day.;)

Good that the car went well though :)

I'll head up there on Sunday morning and see what happens.

Not sure as I haven't heard from Julian. I'll be fitting my PT anyway and I think whatever happens the loops need to laid, protected and then tested.

mikeyscott 06-11-2009 03:26 PM

Sunday on the met office site is looking ok now :)

My MRT PT has arrived :D

Also tyre choice back up in the air....

Accuweather looks ok. Very wet at the moment :(

mikeyscott 08-11-2009 04:31 PM

Well done people for a good days racing all be it pretty cold and yucky.

Can ALL people who are racing at Titchfield please PM what crystals they use and if you are using 2.4GHz the make etc.

Also for those that haven't PM'd me and have Personal Transponders can you PM me the numbers please as I am getting the driver database populated.

Also the names of the cars you run? I think I have most cars, but I am sure I have missed some.

jkonline 08-11-2009 08:54 PM

Agreed good days racing, think it is going to take all week to get the mud off!

Tell me about it, I never ran the B4 in muddy conditions, so don't know how sealed it is. With the amount of much today the XXCR is definately going into hibernation until Spring.

The Cat SX inside held up very well.

criscrum 08-11-2009 09:46 PM

great racing

had a good mornings racing the track was very challenging for me today,
but great fun

mikeyscott 09-11-2009 08:59 AM

Many thanks to Jimmy, TORCH now have a section in the club area.

http://www.oople.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=90

Just need to produce a clear and concise sticky about the club.
