I guess the C4.1 will fit this track very well;). Too bad the season is almost over, and no indoor tracks nearby.

It´s in Norway, at Innherred raceway, Levanger. Very cool track, the "wall of death" is actually about 3-5m high, in the film it seems much smaller. Tracklength @ aprox. 250 meters:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Side-guards

Do anyone know if the C4 is equipped with side-guards or not? The photos I have seen there are not any side-guard(or bath-tube chassis).

I hope so!

This update is more of an unofficial version to give people an update

The chassis' are in production and the machine for the gearboxes is ready to go and got the go ahead today! Unfortunately I don't know at this stage what the time scale is for those.
Any remaining parts to fulfil the huge amount of back orders will be with us this week.
That just leaves the instructions and I've no idea about those  they will probably be rather basic but it's not difficult - heck I made one with no instructions :o

ordered a c4.1 kit plus a new 4.1 kit,the question i would like to ask is will the conversion kit be much different from the prototypes that the team drivers have been using.thanks

wezzer 12-10-2011 08:29 AM

hi
only very very subtle changes such as rear wing mounts, an aerial mount hole in the chassis and one or two small changes

KRob 12-10-2011 08:50 AM

A few changes basically down to refining the car for production.
The battery retainers will be alloy in the conversion where-as the prototypes were carbon (which are available as an option).
As mentioned the wing mounts have changed so a wider range of wings will fit easier.
The team has used a variety of different brass weights depending upon what they already had, nothing was made for the prototypes - that was make do with what's available where-as there will now be Centro brass options.
The gearbox might look slightly different but it's just cosmetic changes - nothing functional - same goes for the rear wishbone hangers and chassis.

That's about it really, although if Wezzer would pull his finger out we might get something sorted on the shell front...

blue_pinky 13-10-2011 12:29 AM

You'll have received the C4.1 shell that the team were using all season...which is essentially an S2 shell as I understand it!

They are using that one to begin with but sounds as though they have another in the pipeline too...

Don't worry...what you have will be fine! :)

wezzer 13-10-2011 08:22 AM

yup the one you have is correct , we are just working on an option shell

As the S2 shell looks so damn sexy, I think the only change needed is to incorporate the gear cover in the shell. Please no cab forward designs tho.
