If you raelly want to run a saver, then i guess there may be some on the market that are up to the job, but i'm not a fan of them!!

I'm actually gonna put your setup on the car for this weekend and see what happen's. I'm going to the track Saturday morning to just DRIVE and DRIVE some more to learn some setup on this kit, but I'm going to use your setup as my startpoint. But the box stock setup was pretty dialed!

Me too. With no servo saver!

Adam Bailey 22-09-2008 03:21 PM

Hmmmmm, well I guess the KO is coming out of the MI3 and going in the Cat lmao

Kecky 22-09-2008 03:29 PM

When you say 'box stock setup' do you mean as the build instructions, or one of the setup sheets at the back of the manual?

Adam, yeah, been in there for 2-3 meetings now i think! No servo saver!

telboy 22-09-2008 04:14 PM

I must hit too many things, cos if i don't use a servo saver I get through loads of servo's!

Would a Hitec 9551/9550 live without a servo saver?......

.....my driving is getting better.

I just built it to the instructions specs, no setup from the back of the manual yet. I did use 35wt oil in all 4 corners instead of 25wt in the rear, and I'll be bumping that up to 45 and 40 f/r for this weekend.

Also I put the front shocks in the middle hole instead of the outside hole like the instructions

went over to southport for an hour yesterday and managed to see a brand new lipo version of this car, I cant say i was any less than fully impressed with the car!

sly 22-09-2008 05:26 PM

Don't go so heavy on the oils mate. Just try it as it is and perhaps drop to lighter oil in the rear.

Adam Bailey 22-09-2008 05:50 PM

The 35wt in all 4 corners was way to light! Were mainly running on 8th scale buggy tracks here and there's a good 3 jumps that will launch the car about 25-30 feet in the air.

@Adam: So light oil grade with small piston holes could make the deal ;)

Just my 2 cents....

Adam Bailey 22-09-2008 07:02 PM

I'm going to do some pretty extensive testing later this week and I'll definitely try that:thumbsup:

I also want to play with the rear toe blocks to see what effect that has on the car, I've never seen so many adjustments on a 4wd before

No problem atall, GTB with fan has loads of clearance.

Kecky 23-09-2008 07:31 AM

I'm running an LRP Sphere TC and that fits no problem :)

Thanks Chris...

TEINsports 23-09-2008 01:01 PM

one more qns. Does the kit comes supplied with rims/tyres? Coz i don't see the tyre section mentioned in the manual or its a given that all Schumy owners are smart enough to glue tyres:D
