its always said no date.
it may be several weeks long?

If the manual comes back from the printer, we should be able to ship U.K. Kits late next week. We are not the printer's biggest customer, so when I finish it (this week for sure) we get in his queue. Sometimes that is not long at all. Other times...

We could make a Kit with the new bulkhead, tower, and ball stud lands so you can bolt "tower forward" on the Squared. It would fit the original 6 too if it has a 4-Gear. But would you not prefer to get the whole UpGrade Kit and go all-Cubed? The car is faster and better.

B.T.W., the new medium downforce wing fits the original 6 and Squared just as it does the Cubed, so you can easily have the whole "tower forward" package on your Squared.

Can't wait for the kit to come out although I've two to buy.

Hi Chazz, I am tempted, yes.. How much lower did the new ball stud lands end up than the squared?

Paul's not here, so I can't tell you exactly, but I think with one washer it's about where they go with no washers in the lowered bulkhead as in the video. The new ally ball stud land also has the E-Speed down location built in, and that stud is vertical too so you can raise it if you wish.

Your Input Please

We are taking a poll on our FB page for the box label. As you know our boxes are unique with a startling drawing of the car on a bright background. Paul has posted two versions of this on FB and we ask your input as to which you prefer.

The red one is just like the Squared label, but of course with a drawing of the Cubed. The other one uses a white CF background instead of red.

Hi,

Could you post a parts list of what is needed in addition to x-6 cubed itself to build the car? Just thinking that if one has for example decent shocks, bearings and screws already available, it would probably be cheaper to buy the missing AE parts than buying a whole AE kit in addition to the X-Factory kit? Or would it?

I looked at this and the answer for me was no. Cheaper to buy a B4.1 or B4.2 brand new kit and sell what you don't need. I got a Big bore B4.1 Worlds kit from A-Main when I was in the US for work and sold all the unwanted bits for the price of the kit so I ended up with my donor car for free. Even allowing for the higher price in the UK better to do that. I believe that DMS Racing had a few B4.1 brand new kits that they are doing a deal for if purchased with a cubed kit but I don't know if they are all sold yet.

YoungChazz 25-07-2013 03:16 AM

Most often the answer is to start with a B4, 4.1, 4.2 roller of some kind. The parts you use from the donor car are many of the expensive ones: shocks, turnbuckles, trans parts, slipper, C.V.A.s, bearings, etc. plus the whole front end.

If you like the conversion, then you can sell the parts from the B4 you didn't use and you'll get a nice few quid towards spares for your X6 :)

What do you mean, "if"?

nobby 26-07-2013 06:16 PM

Interested in one of these cube's.
Can you tell me when the kits will hit the uk?

Cheers.

Hehe  Ok, should've said 'when' - but you always need to feel if the car is indeed one that suits you, aside from performing well. You always have those few that switch again after a while for that reason.

Thought the manual still had to go to the printers.....???

If so how long will that take and how long will it take to ship them from the US ???

:eh?:

YoungChazz 27-07-2013 03:37 AM

With some additional expense for a short run, we are going to crank off a few manuals so the first run of Kits can ship. Expect to have those manuals Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. We are determined to ship by Tuesday. I'm still working at the shop at 11:30 on Friday night.

The WebPrincess, my lovely wife Cecilia, is working here right beside me and the manual with color photos will be on our web site momentarily.

Hope you like the book. I put myself in mind that I'm sitting with you at the bench and we are talking about what you are doing. You are twisting the wrenches and I'm taking pix. Together we build the car.
