I would like to add i wasn't running any extra weight at all in the original 4 gear car and using a 3200 lipo.

Worksop, Low grip...???? You want to try Jarrow on a tuesday night. Now thats low grip...

I agree it's not as slippy as polished floor, but early doors when its cold and dusty there is a lot less grip :)

This is something that i have been playing about with recently, i have tried the cells in the normal layout and like this back to back and to me the car feels nicer like this. I feel it makes the car more predictable over bumps and slightly more mid corner steering.

Looks good Lee, Id like to try this approach...

usafaircrew 12-05-2009 09:02 PM

I know the battery is sittting closer to the center, but with it sitting that high does it make the car roll more?

Lee 12-05-2009 09:29 PM

No not at all, it was something that concerned me until I tried it, if anything the car rolls a lot less.

Finally got the X5 together. Looking forward to a shake down run this weekend.

 looks nice

shame its going to get dirty

that squared shell is more uglyier than the non squaired

Lee 19-05-2009 10:46 AM

I'm sure you are aware that the shell was designed with performance in mind rather than aesthetics, plus things that are winning become more appealing. Think of all the cars/bikes over the years that looked ugly at first sight but as it performs well the looks go out the window and you see a different appeal.

Wayne Rooney is another example.
