We want more pics Andy:thumbsup:

Andyp 22-09-2011 08:37 PM

Wow cool ya jets , it takes longer to sort the pics than the build .:)

Here are a few more they will be the last for tonight.

the main change on this post is the rear hanger, instead of having three different hangers it has one hanger and diffrent plastic inserts.

please be aware i am steeling a few parts from my old 410.
the v3 kit comes with plastic rear gearbox holders and plastic servo/steering mount. from how far i have got the kit is extremly good value for money and not far of the spec you would pay £450+ around a year ago.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:TD

Please let me know if you want any particular pics.

Very nice, what oils did you go for in the diffs?

What electrics are you putting in it?

captainlip 22-09-2011 09:12 PM

I would say its better than the £480 spec 1 year ago, all the updates, bigbores. best value buggy out there!

shark 22-09-2011 09:20 PM

Oh yeah you will be mine :thumbsup:

I´m interested in how bulkhead is changed? New pics the bulkhead looks same like old one.

Sorry for my bad english skills.

DEX210 will come with big bores and it's likely they will be the same shocks on both cars.

mikeyscott 23-09-2011 09:05 AM

Are there roll bars in the kit as indicated by the site pics?

MHeadling 23-09-2011 09:28 AM

Nice one Andy, cheers for the build pics! :)

I put 7000 front and 4000 rear , i was just going off what i run @ worksop last winter

elecs will be savox 1258 , tekin rs pro , sp 5.5 , ko 408s , and vampire lipos at the mo

some more pics.

the noticable differances are -

large bearing on the outside of the rear hub

bb shocks with nice gold colour shafts ( i think we knew about the bb's)

shock mountings to the shock towers are a different system ( i quiet liked the old system but new seems good )

and big meaty wheel hexes.

The titanium turnbuckles are once again from my old 410, this kit comes with what i think are steel turnbuckles with new hd ball cups (ends) .

mikeyscott 23-09-2011 01:24 PM

Very nice.

Noticed more and more people are dropping the diff oil weight.

Is the manual much different?

Are they ti Durango turnbuckles. What balls are they?

Big G 23-09-2011 01:53 PM

They look TD turnbuckles to me. HD ball cups are awesome so I'd recommend running those if you'd previous abandoned hope and fitted another brand :D

Andyp 23-09-2011 02:01 PM

more pics.............

Hi Mikey , the manual is much the same but in black and white. the turnbuckles are TD the balls are lunsford titanium with rpm cups. never had problems with these so i kept them like this.

just about finished now , i wont get the elecs in till after the weekend maybe sunday.

1st pic shows new for old wheels.

Next, DEX210 ? :)

Andrew Twigger 23-09-2011 04:39 PM

I'm amazed at what a professional job Durango have made of their cars, advertising and marketing for such a small company. Really impressive stuff to say the least. They clearly have a race-proven design already, but to make so many little tweaks shows they listen to feedback and want to make their product better for the right reasons.

Great to see, good work Durango!

Cheers Twig !

Oh yeah of course it goes without saying that you're a hero for getting the car built and taking pictures.

Are you sure you've built the diffs right?;)

mikeyscott 23-09-2011 05:23 PM

Please no! Black or gunmetal. Yellow won't go with my red parts

cmgreen 23-09-2011 06:40 PM

Nice one andy, another new car lol

Think there should be a thread 'who's got more cars than andy p?'

You going to seaham 2nd oct?

Andrew Twigger 23-09-2011 07:07 PM

Would love to get one as well as the 210, but starting racing from scratch has destroyed the finances this month! Might ask Santa though haha!

finally on nylocks now and problem solved

mikeyscott 24-09-2011 01:27 PM

So who else has got a V3 built etc. anyone running them at TORCH this weekend.

4WDs at TORCH will be either a brace of TRF511s or DEX410(R)s

Big G 24-09-2011 01:32 PM

again not sure if anyone else spotted this. the big bores in the photos from the TD site of the v3 seem to have plastic adjustment collars instead of the alloy ones the shocks came with when bought separately.

Yeah they come with plastic adjusters in the v3 kit , I put a tiny drop of oil on the threads before I put them on but they were a bit hit and miss the rears seemed tight still and the fronts were quiet loose ! No biggy really I will prob buy the ally adjusters but the plastic one do there job !

mikeyscott 24-09-2011 04:41 PM

Any must have parts?

I don't recon , I think every thing seems up to it's job!

telboy 24-09-2011 08:08 PM

The only thing that concerns me is the amount of meat on the roll centre adjustment on the rear. Where the camber link ball joints go through the tower looks very thin indeed. One decent knock during a roll could snap that very easily by the looks of it.?

Is it just me or is it really that thin?

coleman758 24-09-2011 08:29 PM

The shock stand off's are plastic too. Not alloy like on the old 410.

It does look really nice though!

When were they Alloy?

coleman758 24-09-2011 10:45 PM

The shock stand off's on both my cars are alloy.
( the stand off is the part that mount the top of the shock to the shock tower)
