Only if paul would let mike cut up the front as it wont go through the truck shock mount on the front otherwise.
I've got another shell as well but i dont really want to cut the front up

peetbee 02-11-2011 06:13 PM

I was hoping to borrow it at some time too to go on my new car!

mrspeedy 02-11-2011 06:20 PM

Where is the hot place to buy a new Protech these days ? I presume thats what Mike has got ....

Caine 02-11-2011 07:46 PM

Tower hobbies, the wings are on there to. there may be somewhere uk based you can get them but i normally go there as you can get a lot of associated bits and bobs from there. Theyre normally in stock and it makes it worth the wait.
However last time i ordered from them it was here in 5 days.

Does an X-Factory x-5 qualify for the vintage series?

Probably fits in to the same category as a Tamiya 501XWE as thats discontinued or I guess a B44 as thats now been replaced by the .1, technically the X5 is their current car pending their new one isnt it ?

Jamie.T 03-11-2011 09:23 PM

Yeah, its still x-factories current 4wd despite being dis-continued.

To meet the vintage rules does it have to be made before a certain date?

Belsten 03-11-2011 09:27 PM

Yes mate, pre 94 and pre 98 I believe with much debate as to some sort of handicap system similair to golf for later cars
