Hi

Is there a good amount of space under that body for Brushless and Lipos?
What size servo LxBXH?
Does the Rx need to be a Mini size?

Thanks Jeff

Plenty of room for Brushless and Lipo (Split Pack).
I have the Nosram ISTC which is about as bis as you'll get..
Standard size radio gear all fits.... Just my radio has the micro rec and halfheight servo.

As for the electrics.
There's plenty of room on the motor side for the Rec... I was thinking about mounting mine there.....
Believe me there's plenty of room...

I had a touring car moment and tried to make it all fit on one side....

Do the plastic front caster blocks/hub carriers hold up well? I mean do they have the same problem as the XXX-4 has? Are the BJ4 ones a direct fit to the D4?

mobilow 17-03-2007 01:22 PM

bigb11 18-03-2007 02:54 AM

adam. when will it be released?

Moose 18-03-2007 01:14 PM

@telboy : which is the last colour you painted ? are you using only faskolor or do you use tamiya or LRP paint to seal the body ?

telboy 18-03-2007 09:19 PM

I mainly use faskolor and don't usually seal the paint in any way. Now, normally I would say that you can use tamiya or pactra to seal the faskolor, but I did have some 'react' to the pactra paint the other day. I use these paint together every day so I either did someting wrong or I maybe had a can of pactra with a greater solvent content or something, I'm not sure. But something wasn't right. Like I say normally it is ok to use these together.

Not broke a castor block yet.. Only broke a wishbone at Worksop at the weekend because a guy in the previous heat decided to turn his transmitter back on.... Nice:) Must have wanted a go with a D4 early.

As for retro fitting BJ4 parts.... Dunno. Why would you want to put a big ally one on?

Lusikka 21-03-2007 05:26 PM

Thanks for the reply. The buggy looks really promising. I'm very interested in this cause it's going to be the cheapest high tech buggy in Finland i guess and we have been promised full spare part support. Getting tired of ordering parts for the fragile XXX4 from the states.

I was just asking about the carriers cause I bought a pair to mod them to the XXX4, but if the ones on D4 are durable then it's even better! :)
