The Tanaplan was the meet at Toddington for sure, remember borrowing a 17 x 1 TWISTER motor off Pete Stevens for that meeting and it was a rocket ship, a bloody 17 turn!!!! The track there right next to the garden centre was the nuts though as was Chesham.... To keep on track, I will be running the X6 Sq again in 2wd (of course) and we are being joined by a new face or two also in the team, but cannot say who at present.... |

Why don't we all have a guess as to who out of the top 10 drivers from this year will change and where they will go to?
Should be a laugh if nothing else :woot: |
Looking farward to seeing Kyosho cars out there, hopefully with a really top line driver.
Neil, will there be an 'official announcement' of a team?[/QUOTE] I have not got anything to announce as yet! we are just getting the cars out there and hope people will buy them. My advice is never pay attention to the rumours. |
haha, water spayers to clean your cars. those were the days! Is it me, or did every track used to have a pub VERY close by?
Top ten this year will be tamiya's!!!! |
Lol my guess is Craig Collinson for Kyosho next year
He's already runnning the Fab's car getting great results  |

Sponsorship is not always the great ideal as people think it is. I am sticking with the Durango and the CR2. And if the current trend in 8th of it getting so expensive then I will be ditching Nitro and going 10th only. So you may see me at Torch more often :) |

Well I mean - we all race because we enjoy it and if your good enough at World level to be paid then good for you as they say but I don't believe in going to a team or driving a car just because it's a better deal.......not for me
|
I know what you are saying Tony but I think some are tempted by a deal which is a package i.e car, tyres, cells, speedo and motor but this can be constrictive if new stuff comes out and the sponsor or manufacturer supporting you is no longer competitive. I know with the top drivers it is all about the huge amount of talent they have and they could run an ice cream tub with wheels on faster than I could but I think it makes a difference for the mid field players.

Kyosho for me, always been my favourite ever since my first Optima Mid! :)
Love love love my ZX5FS |
All this is making me smile ... doesn't seem that long ago people were telling me "a lazer will never win anything" now it appears that several others have spotted the virtues of the mighty red K. Any help I can offer those new to Kyosho cars, at whatever level the drive, just ask away as I'm always happy to share info.
Will be a suprise to nobody to find that I will be running Kyosho cars again in 2011 (and 2012, probably 2013 etc. too :D ) It will be interesting to see who finally ends up where as many of the people who were running Losi cars have found new steeds and there seems to be some movement in certain shop teams towards certain manufactures. Two things seem certain though; 1) The fastest guys will still be the fastest guys 2) 2011 will be another fantastic year for 1/10th off-road  I am really looking forward to 2011, hopefully I will get to make a prat of myself at nationals again too ... I best get practicing |
Northants Schumacher challenge series, to think we had that many clubs just in the one county to run an inter-club series... now only the one club remains running off-road (not counting the large scale track by Santa Pod) I went for a meal the other day at the Greyhound Pub in Milton Malser - which brought back memories of racing on the front lawn there.
I won that one year :) The Milton Keynes Club was run by me, we use to race at Bow Brickhill grass track. |
