Hi guys,

Sven Rudig supplied such kind of "EC" version.

Means he took the parts from B4 FT and put in a box with the X6 SQ conversion kit. It was a nice service for customers,,, but actually he canceled this stuff- too much work with repacking.

I was the last guy who received this "EC" kit,,,, the car is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

and yes,,, with white rims the EXSEX is much much faster:D

The X6 Squared EC gets ever closer and is now just over a week away from being shipped from the USA, just in time for an end of March release (despite a few minor last minute problems)....

The latest update to come from the factory today has arrived in the form of a video from the X-Factory You Tube channel, showing a step by step picture illustration of the car going together.

It uses the pictures taken for the instruction manual and strings them altogether in a step by step slide show....

Any news on a release date yet? :D

chris68nufc 21-03-2010 09:27 PM

Thats exactly what i was thinking.
Rich Lowes looked good today at Worksop, even with Associated shocks on!

I need 2 for asap!

Richard Law 21-03-2010 09:57 PM

AE shocks didnt seem to bother him one bit, hope the shafts are better than the ones on my B44, Brittle is a understatement!
I'd got 17th March in my head for release date, so cant be far off?

I have a long distance phone call planned for later this evening with Chazz to confirm the current status of the kits but the last news i had was that they were bagging up the kit contents bags over the weekend and bags 1 through to 6 or 7 were completed for the first batch leaving just just 2 or 3 bags left (of the nine in each kit) to do the early part of this week. The manual is almost complete and is on its way to the printers as we speak and the box labels are being finished as we speak also, so HOPEFULLY the first batch of kits should be ready to leave the USA later this week, we originally hoped for 2nd or 3rd week of March but have had a slight delay with two parts causing us to now be looking at between 24th/26th if all goes well, but I will know more for certain and confirm after this evening.......

Darren Boyle 22-03-2010 12:43 PM

As for Rich Lowe and running the AE shocks :woot: How on earth does the car even move with them on?? (If you believe what some people say about our car) I am glad Rich went well with his X6 Sq EC yesterday and conntinues to prove that our car works just as well with whatever shocks our team drivers choose to use........

blitzboy 22-03-2010 01:15 PM

looking good darren must say richard s x6 looked good all day yesterday and i waqs also impressed with his set up he was running too ,,, not the usual and really looked good

YoungChazz 23-03-2010 02:16 PM

Darren is right on. I have some hope that the first ones will be out the door Friday or Saturday.

Back to work...

YoungChazz 24-03-2010 02:04 AM

If I take the attitude that this is what makes this business interesting, I manage to survive.

This is going to be the best manual we have ever produced, with the best pix. The printer is taking our color pix and setting them up to print better in B & W -- we expect much sharper, clearer images.

Gave the printer the first batch of pix Monday AM. He was going to do whatever it is he does and get the back to me this afternoon, and I was to give him the second half. He called about 2.

It appears he has lost them. Not a major problem, because I still have them, but we're set back a day on the manual. He had bags A - F and I was going to pick up those pix while giving him G - I. Now I'll just give him all on Wednesday and hope he can do them tomorrow afternoon and give them back tomorrow evening so we can put them in the manual and add the arrows.

Then back to him on Friday morning and we'll see how fast he can print...

If you mean from the manual "Ellis Stafford converison" kit, then I doubt it very much, only the standard manual will go online at a guess.....

YoungChazz 24-03-2010 12:55 PM

The manual that will be online will be the standard manual for the K 021 Kit.

Oh well, I just remember myself asking about this before and I've received following answer from Chazz.

So as long as it won't be published on xfactory webpage - if anyone has Ellis Stafford kit and is willing to scan addenum, I will be more than happy.

Darren Boyle 24-03-2010 11:33 PM

I think this was before the final plans for the "EC" were out though and much of the detail from Ellis's conversion has made its way into the EC manual now.....

D.M.S.' first batch of K 021 X - 6 Squared Kits were shipped this morning. We are putting together the first batch of Kits for Team AJ in Japan today and they will leave Monday AM. Things get through Japan customs much faster than U.K. so the two primary X Factory distributors will have their Kits at about the same time.

These Kits were shipped with no instruction manuals because the books are not yet ready from the printer. The Kit boxes were closed with a single piece of tape so the contents will not spill out (They are tight in their shipping cartons.) and the box labels were included with the shipment. When the manuals are ready we will express them to D.M.S. and AJ; they will insert the manuals, seal up the boxes and apply the labels. With any luck, the express manuals will arrive about the same time as the Kits and all will be good.

Dealers in other countries will be shipped as soon as the manuals are ready, then the K 021 goes on our web site. So dealers will be shipped late next week, and it should be on our site about April 5. Fastest way to get an X - 6 Squared Kit is from your local model shop.

Darren Boyle 27-03-2010 09:50 PM

Sounds good Chazz, I will start tracking the cartons across their journey from Monday onwards.

Tricky to predict this early their expected arrival date with two holiday days next weekend, but I would imagine we should be looking at as early as the 6th April for their arrival with us and possibly up to 7 days after that with UK Customs and Easter etc

Latest Info

Everything is here, packaged, and ready to go, except the instruction manual.

We have been using this printing company for several years now, and they have taken care of us well. Great service and excellent prices. We gave them the PDFs for the manual last Tuesday. We expected to get a proof copy the next day and, if it was good, have manuals in our hands April 1 or 2. Tuesday afternoon one of their largest customers surprised them with a many-pages color project which required over 10,000 copies, and it had to be done by April 2.

Little X Factory was put on hold...

We expect to have the manuals late next week.

In the meantime D.M.S.s initial order was shipped a few days ago with the boxes closed by just one piece of tape and the labels in the shipping box but not on the Kits. As soon as we have the manuals they will be shipped express to U.K. and Darren will put them in the Kits, seal up the boxes, and apply the labels.

Team AJ in Japan has requested Kits with the instructions on CD, not printed, and those Kits will go out first thing Saturday AM.

We hope to ship dealer orders next Friday and Saturday, and put the K 021 Kit on the web site Monday April 12. As always, you can get the Complete Car first from your local hobby store. If your local shop does not stock X Factory, ask the manager to contact us

Shipping To Dealers

Team AJ has now received their Kits, and Mike-san is working hard to translate the manual and produce a Japanese version.

The following press release was sent to media outlets (including oOple) yesterday:

X – 6 SQUARED KIT SHIPPING TO DEALERS

The new X Factory X – 6 Squared Kit is shipping to dealers today. This is the first time X Factory has sold the entire X – 6 Squared. The new K 021 includes all the genuine AE parts needed to build an X – 6 Squared and, of course, all the great X Factory parts as well. This is the most complete and extensive Kit X Factory has ever done.

Squared Kits were shipped to X Factory importer/distributors last week, and they are already shipping Kits to their model shop customers. Now X Factory is shipping to its direct dealers in other countries all over the world.

“Dealer demand has been more than we expected,” said X Factory spokesman Chazz, “and we have been forced to re-order the AE parts already. Final orders from dealers are still coming in and we are shipping as quickly as possible.

“The Kits have been ready to ship for over two weeks, but the instruction manual has been the sticking point. We experienced an unfortunate delay as a customer much bigger than we took up their press time with a huge order. But our manuals are printed now, and we have enough manuals in this first order for several months’ sales.”

As always, customers will get the new X Factory Kits most quickly from their local hobby store. The K 021 Kits should go on X Factory’s web site later this week.
