I've not actually had a close look at the Gold compound yet, but the Greens feel softer than M3...

nice pdf help file from jconcepts :)

I do like the look of those Bar Codes from JConcepts....look rather funky ;) . But will the 'new' compound from Pro-Line be out for Neo...M4

Will Crimefighters/Bowties be ok as a backup set ((can't remember what I own!) with one set of Holeshots to actually use?

yeah I would have thought so, you will notice the most difference between compounds, tread patterns maybe but it certainly wont be the tread pattern limiting your performance.

I'm sure you will see a lot of different tyre patterns being used, all very successfully im sure

It certainly won't be MY limiting factor, that'll be the fingers and thumbs!

Think my existing compound is whatever soft is, and would get M3 holeshots if that's a good bet.

Have never really gad tires go off before but tbh on grass/astro tracks I always end up trying to decrease grip by hardening compounds anyway to take the edge off, which probably seems mad!

M3 crimes or bowties will be OK especially in the earlier rounds its just that the cars seem a lot more conected to the track on holeshots or similar ;)

did anybody try revolvers last year??
i might give em a go in (much needed) practice

Chaz 02-03-2010 10:40 PM

I used Revolvers last year Adam. A fair bit more forgiving in terms of steering. Though Holeshots i would say are faster, the Revolvers for me (back then) did seem easier to control. I'm going to use Revolvers for the first couple of heats and then jump to Holeshots if it's cleared up and then stay with them.

I am going with blue crossbars/bows..managed to get a load so i don"t have to scrounge pidges and doughtys old ones, found them the best for me last year although m3 holeshots were pretty close.

showtime 03-03-2010 06:41 PM

i might be scrounging off you this year then me old Carrot

thats kinda my thinking Chaz
start off on revolvers then go for something smaller once the track cleans up a bit. luckily i still have a new set of Sevens in gold

dave g 03-03-2010 06:46 PM

who has the 7's in gold..at a good price? :)

showtime 03-03-2010 07:33 PM

not sure Dave, i got mine from Norway ;)
but i would definitely take some more if you can find any :)

dave g 03-03-2010 07:49 PM

must admit not seen any anywhere.

carrot 03-03-2010 08:39 PM

Try giving Jamie or Joe a bell Dave they will probably have some in or coming in before the neo.

no worries mush,i have never been asked for my old tyres before..I have kept all my JC tyres frrom the nationals my thinking was they will come in handy for practice etc,the other good thing is they don"t seem to wear too much:thumbsup: GREEN ARMY

DaveG28 04-03-2010 11:02 AM

Hmm, it's M2 crimefighters I have, sounds like they may be a bit hard, will have to sort some more tyres!

showtime 04-03-2010 06:11 PM

yeah you need M3 really Dave ;)

on the plus side the track isn't hard on tyres so you wont be needing a fresh set every run. (although plenty of people there will be doing that!)

kyosho-viking 10-03-2010 08:29 PM

guess I'll give aka cityblocks in soft a go, it's more forgiving sideways than the ibeams.

I'll also bring some pairs of the aka gridirons, never tried them, but the pattern looks promising.

DaveG28 14-03-2010 07:52 PM

Hi guys, just in terms of some info, and not to restart the oople argument, is there power available there?

Also, have they announced the lengths of finals?
