You can add velcro to the sides of the chassis/body to give you more clearance.
Works for me. My rx is practically against the chassis edge, and is clear of the shell. Try it first, before you make any changes.

I doubt the motor tabs will clear the body even with the velcro.

Hyper - I was thinking along those lines

mrs tells me shell hasn't come in today's post - hopefully will tomorrow

I will post pics of however I resolve the install

here is how i installed my electrics. I am running a Mamba Max PRO and a novak ballistic 8.5 w/ 22t pinion with a regular sized spektrum (my mini has a bad antenna) receiver and ace 1015 servo. I currently have the Team Checkpoint 4200mah but also have the Trackpower Dark Series 4650's on the way as well as the IP5000's. I am able to get about 10 mins full race speeds on my track with the TC4200 30c battery.

where's the battery strap

fastinfastout 11-01-2010 04:38 PM

I think I might file down the chassis sides so I wont need to remove the spur for battery changes.

video was made to see if you do need to remove spur gear / slipper clutch as suggested by footey to get the batteries in & out if using home made battery brace as in the picture by Takes2home
