Lee, are you taking Stam-mag as your pit bitch?

_sleigh_ 06-08-2009 10:42 AM

I'm pretty sure this won't effect anyone from the UK, but just so everyone is aware. This notice is from the EFRA web-site.

"Important additional notice regarding the EC Tyres for the incoming off road electric EC in Bilbao, Spain:
With this notice we try to clarify as much as possible which is the choosen –and “legal”- tyre from Schumacher to be used in Bilbao

EC TYRES:

We have chosen Schumacher MiniSpike 2 as the nominated tyre for the driven axles in both Classes. Schumacher have contacted us with part #'s for the different compounds.

The 2 version is produced from a new mould tool and Schumacher have confirmed that only tyres using Yellow, Green and Blue compound will be made form this mould.
The original mould tool has produced tyres for many years with many different compounds being used. It is very possible that some drivers have some of these older compounds in their possession which might give an advantage on our track in Bilbao. (For example: Bibex compound that could give a competitive advantage on the Bilbao track).

Only the 2 version is allowed for:
- Controlled Practice, Qualifying and Finals.

It is easy to identify tyres from the two mould tools as the later mould tool shows the "2" on the side-wall of the tyre.

Javier Llobregat
EFRA Rep, AECAR"

Does this include prototypes

** This is not picking at Phil in any way by the way, thanks for the info Phil **

Belsten 06-08-2009 11:25 AM

does controlled practice refer to the 2 rounds of timed practice ? Im hoping so as I have some used 1's that I wanted to run in the other practices

Lee 06-08-2009 11:29 AM

Yeah the timed ones are controlled. That is when you have to do your 2 or 3 quick consecutive laps to sort out your grid order for qualifying ;)

tony6187 06-08-2009 08:13 PM

is there going to be a website with a live timing feed?
