Thanks for the replies guy's. Makes more sense to me now. They are on the way in the mail right now, along with the new Tamiya dampers, the TA05 carbon battery strap, new wing, and front and rear white edition springs.

Do any of you guys happen to know of another body shell that will fit the Durga?

because of the motor bulge I think it will be hard to find another shell to fit unless it's designed for the car. The only other one is the baldre or whatever mad name it is - but I don't think its out yet, and I have to say I like the durga shell.

Yeah man, but i am hoping that team Azarashi will come out with one of their sick looking shells. I love the looks of most of their shells. Probably not enough people own the DB-01 for them to do something like that.

yeah, with that motor bulge it's a bit of a unique shape really - but you never know. Tamiya are sure to keep pimping the car as well so we'll have to see what they bring out also.

nice, what's going on on the outdrives? are they plastic with a reinforcing ring, or....?

Hingepin holder looks beefy and just a bit mean :woot:- might have to get some of those.

Nice car, but money better spent on buying a 501X rather than on DB01 and the hop ups.

yeah I think if you're going to go that far with it then a 501X makes a bit more sense for most people, but you've got a nice looking car there. I don't mind people laughing at my plastic Tamiya since it proves itself on the race track.

I run the TA05 plastic outdrives on the front diff :thumbsup:

Yeah, once assembled the diff is the same width as standard. I used the plastic outdrives on my 501 all last year so I just swapped them over.

Only problem is you can't use them with the 37t pulley because they use the smaller diff rings but this isn't a problem for me as I use the the white 36t pulley to overdrive the front anyway :cool:

I thought I've seen people run 501X diff rings in their TA05s and 415s (they put 16 diff balls in the TA05 36T pulley). It could work with the 37T pulley too.

You can use 501 diff rings on the TA05/415 outdrives but the rings aren't locked into the outdrives like the correct diff rings are.

I originally did this and found the 501 rings would slip against the outdrives which is why I decided to use the proper tc diff rings on the plastic outdrives.

I own the 3racing dampers for my Keen Hawk. They are the same as the DB-01 dampers except they are different lengths.

First time outdoors with the Durga today - and naturally I didn't get chance to see what I could do in the final since the sun went in and it just snowed for ages and the meeting was cancelled. Durga's a bit mucky now too :thumbdown:
I won all three heats I raced and I think I might have taken one or two rounds of qualifying - I didn't change anything from racing indoors apart from put the 501X blue collars back on the shocks wound all the way to the top to lift the rear up a little.
I was running GRP tyres all round and the car was awesome - can't fault it. if the weathers OK I might race with it at the first Regional next weekend, that'll be a real tough test of it on the mental southport track.
