PR front rims are the same width, rears are around 2mm wider.

That is what I do, I keep different width hexes in my box (and 14mm also) since I have such a mix of wheels. I think the front Schumacher rims are pretty close, but the rear are visibly narrower. The PR ones were wider but usable.

The amount of thread showing on the drive shaft sticking out of the wheel is very different, the actual difference in total width of the car isn't that much.

Bought some schumey pre glued rears for mine, lad borrowed them and did a check on the difference, was only a couple of mm narrower at most. Managed to get a 10 pack of rears now, so panic over!

Agreed, This thread and the FB page have been very helpfull.

Mines been strong, I hit a corner weight Holding the track down at the BWOC last weekend and it didn't break, believe me they break cars :D

shaun m 11-02-2016 10:23 AM

Yeah they do ross , i also hit a corner weight at the BWOC ( even before the race had started!! ) resulted in a broken shock shaft , exspected something to break , nothing wrong with the car atall :wub

But as everyone has said bent is a top man , always willing to help either on here or facebook .
This is all because someone broke theyre car , and are blaiming the car , but sometimes its the nut holding the wheel on!

On the strength of this car...recently I was racing indoors on low grip carpet and towards the end of the qualifying (4th round) the rear minipin tyres were pretty much bold. I applied the brakes at the end of the straight and the car went straight on into the wall! It actually flipped up because I went into the corner at the end of the straight too fast. I was expecting some damage, but nothing not even a mark on it apart from the wing looks a little worse for wear! amazing.

Just got my xb2 and studying the manual.

Is there no way to mount an aerial tube with this car?

Also, how are people finding the springs? I find it strange xray would include such soft springs in a carpet car? By the comparison chart the rears work out about 2.0ibs..similar to an AE green

Chris

Buy Xray has one you can use:

1 dot front and rear springs work extremely well on medium to high grip carpet.

On super high grip like the EOS carpet we do run a bit stiffer springs.

But for everything else we use 1 dot ;)

Bent

What would you run oil, pistons and springs on EOS Carpet Bent. I've 500F/400R oil , 1.6 front x2 hole and 1.7 rear x 2 hole with 2 dot front and rear spring.

Getting ready to purchase one of these cars and wanted to know if my Associated B5 wheels would fit corectly or do i need adapters or spacers? their also 12mm hex.

Also will my associated B5 buggy springs work on this car. Here in the states stock or option parts can be tricky to find to purchase most of the time. thanks for any help with my questions.

Don't know but fits in the car without needing to modify anything

I got mine yesterday. Started building it last night and I should have it finished tonight. I aways thought they looked very similar to the YZ-2 but after building it I've realised it's quite a bit different.

Hi
I'm looking for some tyre/wheel advice please.
I race indoors on a track that is mix of carpet and polished floor.
On my 4wd I run yellow pini pins with medium inserts all round.
What front tyre is recommended please, and do I cut the rim? And do I use an insert?
Thanks
