But since people are talking cars:

The B4 is our current beginners weapon of choice, and with good reason. Its tough, easy to setup, nice to drive and goes very well. Rob and Nick can win with it, so its not just a beginners car.

Firestorms can race with us, but we aren't currently running a truck class. We will if there is enough demand, otherwise you'd be in with the buggys. Actually at the old Goshen track trucks could lap as well as 2wd buggys due to being better over the bumps, but I'm not so sure at the new one. So if you like it and want one by all means, but unlike the B4 there won't be a wealth of knowledge and spares trackside. However Firestorms are very tough, so you won't need the spares.

However I did PM you about some stuff. Reply to me with budget details and I'll see what I can sort. I can normally find a package for any budget - just ask Whiskers who I got racing on a shoestring!

Not sure Neil Cragg and Paul Bradby would agree! B4 is a great car at any level.

Anyway, the track looks very promising, I reckon this will be the resurrection year for Bury outdoors (not that it was dead). Looking forward to some good meetings. I hope the racing is as entertaining as this section of the forum!

Interesting word "resurrection" shows how much attention you've paid to the club over the past couple of years. bury metro has gone from strength to strength from 2009 to 2010 which was the best year go date and the club is expecting to grow again this year judging by the clubs winter series growing in numbers and intrest in this thread some new names some from old(you being one I haven't seen at the track for a while)

The club has had a change of attitude with regards to not taking any of it to serious unless it's under brca rules ie regionals
The club and it's members have a zero tolerance to shouting at people and abusing people if anyone does either god help them!!!

pugboy 18-03-2011 02:40 PM

Fair point, and it's good that you guys have kept the club going, I agree. Hopefully will get down a bit more this year, and no I am not one that takes it too seriously definitely, I don't have the talent to!

No offence intended.

well when we go outdoors im going to be realy serious and start shouting like f*$k of the rostrum and abusing all the marshalls (think what you like!!)

pugboy 18-03-2011 04:27 PM

If I get shouted at when marshalling I just suddenly seem to lose the ability to marshall that persons car very quickly (unless I am watching the race or not paying proper attention then I deserve to be shouted at!)...

I just realised I was sandwiched between two official oople 'trouble causers'. I had better watch what I say!
