Thanks Hans
Do the plastic cups screw onto the original K1 Aero turnbuckles ok?

Kurtje 08-01-2014 09:09 AM

Yes they fit on the original turnbuckles :)

Have been running couger arms for a while with original shafts this configureation allows you to extend wheel base which helps on high traction

shorty in K1

Hello all and especially Carlos,

That is a nice option to have.
Did you run the car yet with this conversion?
Where did you get the 125t belt?
there is one on the schumacher site:

U2238Rear Belt; 125Tx4mm - SST Axis

Is this the one you used?

Greetings

Hans

Hi Hans,
Haven't tested it yet, .... soon !
The belt is from RobotShop Inc. item # RB-Ftr-38.
I didn't know Schumacher had one too. thanks ! The belt I got feels stiffer, it has a bit more reinforcing.... which does increase resistance. I will try this one for now until I can get the one you mentioned.
Cheers
Carl

old belt

Hi Carl,

Thanks for the belt part nr.
I wonder if the belt i found is strong enough, its from an older car.
Let us know how it went!

Thanks for your input! ;)

I posted up the items that I received from the factory to upgrade my car to Aero spec, hopefully someone other than the truly awesome will have gotten some benefit from the list I posted.

So yes - not all parts are required or "mandatory".....I simply posted up the items so that people could reference the list - if they wanted to do the whole lot or just pick and choose - the list was there....... as it had not been done previously.... Apologies for the lack of the list to upgrade to big bores.

Live and learn I guess!!:p

Cheers

I run the K1 for a while and a lot of updates make sense to me toward a better car, big bores, carbon chassis, stronger top plate, gear diff so yes the Aero is a better, easier car to drive.

The FAB will work of course, never got the chance to try it (but did on SX2/3).
Try the car without, I did not thought it was absolutely required as the car was great as is.

how much room is left for the shorty to swell up? before it touches the belt? lets say the shorty gets warm under load.

Hi rear arm pin height changes roll centre and makes rear looser.
If its mid corner and on slippy astro are you running roll bars? also try shocks on rear

cryer-evo 02-02-2014 12:19 PM

No not running roll bars as don't have them will give putting the rear shox behind the tower a go and see if that helps

Get the rear roll bar kit will make a huge difference and support your car on the high grip astro tracks
