I still don't like this Jimmy. Cool-Jimmy would have given Terry's posts a bit more thought and discussed it, not tried to pick apart the details in a that way.

I hope that someone does set up a new Association and goes off with a few people to run in the way you want. It's been tried many time before, including one in the US that offered $5000 prize money to the winner of their series. They all failed because in reality the majority of racers and manufacturers prefer using their National Association rules (BRCA, ROAR, etc,) and having products they can use at National, European and IFMAR level.

But, as I said earlier, what we have here is a bunch of keyboard jockeys with no intention of doing anything about it, just moan on here. And, accusing other sections of being cheats with no evidence whatsoever. Sad... very sad...

I think I already showed you how Terry picked apart my post bit by bit and used false arguments in every single one. Accusing me of complaining etc - I'm putting ideas out - that's all they are!

Yeah - 8th buggies - I did not mean this to upset Terry, this was an observation from the one 8th national I've been to. It looked silly to me - and this means it would likely look odd to any outsider that someone can win a final because their car goes longer and the same speed.
For sure there's lots involved - but it was just an observation, an honest one.

How fast can you drive round it? Which would be quicker, 1/10th 4wd electric buggy? A 1/10th rally car? a 1/14th micro?

This essentially already exists, it's called 10th off road modified. I'm sure you can put a beetle shell on your buggy and race it

It's too fast for anyone to control right now - the guys running the fastest motors will usually be the ones smashing into the walls as the top lads run something fast but controlable.

As batteries and ESC's and motors have become more powerful I've gone from 5.5, to 6.5 and now 7.5 in 4WD. And it's easily more than fast enough.

How about racers just voice their opinions here and not attend the AGM. I have no plans to go - but those that do will see how people feel. I'm not trying to force through changes, I'm suggesting that some things no longer have relevance in terms of a level racing field, in a certain class. That's all. You might think differently but that's cool, no need to fall out over such things. It's toy cars.

Does anyone know when Invernational '13 entry requests open?

jimmy 08-02-2013 04:21 PM

Well the series opens this Sunday evening coming boss - but the invernation on the 9-10-11 Aug is all set, the entry form will follow the Series entry form.

Last year we had well in excess of 400 entries for the invernational - I'm sorry not everyone can get in but we are trying to be fair and do want those that have tried multiple times to get a place, is it possible? probably not, but we will try. Anyone can enter the open series and be guaranteed an entry - you just have to be there to submit your form on time!

Maybe next years invernational we'll go by post count on the forum? That, or allow people to offer to do mad stuff in exchange for an entry. Streak the track, breakdance during finals, kareoke during driver briefing.

I beg the question why would we not allow someone to come that has proven their comedy value by snorting sherbet off a mans chest, or painted themselves green. You can't possibly argue those guys shouldn't be guests for life.

A place should be given for the winner of a 'most random/funniest place for an oOple sticker' photo competition

creativity or bravery should be rewarded!

Among others!
I wonder what happend to those two. I remember banning Stampy when I was at worksop - I'd just had enough. I think his wife threatened to sue me or something. Not sure.
:woot:

I think it got announced in the hall that Stampy had been banned too, to cheers.
