Had a great day yesterday , even though i qualified last in 2WD:woot: WELL DONE batley i really enjoyed it. Long day though up at 4.45am and then walked in the house at 9pm:o I HATE THE M62:thumbdown:

Kecky 18-02-2008 08:43 AM

Great day, great track, looking forward to the summer

AdrianJones 18-02-2008 09:18 AM

Just a quick note to say thanks to all those hard working people who organised and ran the event this weekend. Had a great time but have now decided never to run again on slippy floors as I am not good enough yet and I want a B44 as they looked awsome!

Cheers once again guys.

PS: Any photos yet?

PPS: M62 was a nightmare but Burger King made up for it on the services, Cheers Ade for the burger :-D

super__dan 18-02-2008 12:00 PM

Thanks for the nice words, Batley is 'run' by a small number of people, most of whom have a lot of other commitments so any meetings are usually quite challenging. As usual the bulk of the thanks must go to Dianne who is a legend as far as I'm concerned but also Steve Lawson, John Price and Jimmy.

Also thanks to those who helped put the track out on Sat and those who stayed to help put it away, notably some non members who had some distance to travel!

xx4-nutter 19-02-2008 12:35 AM

ace pictures ! hows the cam jimmy ?

jimmy 19-02-2008 12:41 AM

Lets just say I'm not a happy bunny :(

My final WAS awesome at the point I was behind superstar driver Damian Whittle and was just all over him like a mad rash - eventually punting him out of the way so I could clear off into the distance. At that point I thought I was some pretty HOT stuff - like a bit of a star myself - until I talked to Damo after the final and found out he was on front-wheel-drive only........ I was pretty gutted.

ashleyb4 19-02-2008 09:10 AM

lol jimmy nice pictures :) What happened with your camera jim?

b4rs 19-02-2008 09:39 PM

there high impact peices of foam, mainly for glass, but they stop my a-arms smashing as easy, just stop little stones and things smashing them.

there not on no more coz ive swapped them.

ben 19-02-2008 09:56 PM

Are you the Vinny who's GTB I soldered a new power cap onto?

Lee 19-02-2008 10:12 PM

Vinny a narrower track will actually give you more grip but can be unstable and break away. Just bear in mind that a wider car does not always give you more grip;)

Alex: its good to see you trying stuff and thinking, keep it up you might come accross something really good, Also is that your own wing on the b4?

vinny20 19-02-2008 10:15 PM

yep

yep cheers dan thanks 4 that but then i found that i had a speed passion gt that also worked i didnt use it till the gtb burned out

b4rs 19-02-2008 10:17 PM

thanks lee, not that one, i had my first prototype on for the second race (as i didnt enter the first due to bulkhead brakages) but it shattered when i flipped my buggy. im planning on buying some thinner lexan propper 0.75 stuff so it bends and then i should be able to sell them.

alex.

b4rs 19-02-2008 10:21 PM

ive got balls of steel (private joke)

Lee 19-02-2008 10:23 PM

yeah i saw it break when you landed on it thats why i asked. Thinner lexan and i dont know how you moulded them but some plastics get brittle if they get too hot;)

b4rs 19-02-2008 10:24 PM
