Dan it looks like there is enough room to move the Tekin to the front of the battery even with the regular size servo. It would be a very tight fit even with the small Spektrum rx but it looks possible?

that's the exact electronics layout I'm going with too, just replace the saddle packs with the shorty lipo and that's what mine will look like...if it ever gets here!! :cry:

Also looks like you ditched the body posts altogether and went with only Velcro? Hadn't even thought of that, sweet idea!! Just might have to steal it

Thats superb Dan good job ! - i did away with the body posts too. That Tekin RS looks made for the 22.

FINALLY... somebody has set there electrics out properly! looks sooooo neat and tidy with nothing wedged anywhere and no wires flopping all over the place!

I'll be running exactly the same layout but with a Nosram Pearl Evo V2 and the newer 60c Vampire Lipo's. I've always used Velcro to fasten my bodyshells on and my 22 will be no different - cant stand those body clip posts being used!

All in all, great job... luving it! :thumbsup:

Its still rear wheel drive, But Rear motor the motor is behind the rear wheels.
mid motor, the motor is in front of the rear wheels.

Different handling characteristics... :)

Mid motor cars are usually more consistant and easier to drive on our tracks, over in the US where grip levels are lower they tend to favour rear motor cars as the generate more rear wnd grip...

Just finished building mine, rear motor for now as I only have sticks.

The car is amazing overall.

I followed the kit setup and the rear got a lot of positive camber, I can use the inner camber link or shorten the turnbuckles but look for you point of view about it as I thought usually you look for negative camber.

Can't wait to run it !

Its not front wheel drive, its mid motor rear wheel drive which changes the weight bias and it suits the majority of UK tracks

Mid Motor - Motor in front of the rear wheels, motor turns same way as wheel driving the front of the car down. also it brings some weight forward.

Rear Motor - Motor is behind the rear wheels. Puts more weight on the rear wheel to increase traction.

Again both rear wheel drive just different motor position.

Dangit, sorry I didn't mean to cause confusion as I accidentally wrote " rear wheel ' instead of rear motor, as it appears everyone on on y'alls side of the pond is runningmid motor. We haven't got our hands on the cars yet ( except for the local factory driver ) but our local indoor clay track is pretty rough I'm sure most will run rear motor, but I'll be watching the experimenters, who will end up trying out mid motor.

Here's my 22 just finished installing the electronics. Looking forward to testing it later this week.

That looks like a great idea mounting the transponder right at the back, saves some space and adds a tiny bit more weight over the rear.

prop take guess about 35-40 mile away from padstow, wcrccc is the name of the club :-) outdoors starts first tues in may.

Have yet to see a 22 with a neatly cut bodyshell to integrate well with the gear cover. Also that black cover is normally too much contrast to the shell's colors. But with your base black theme, it looks now like part of the shell. Plus the shell also blends in with the front of the car!
