Matty Latham went well with his SXIII yesterday. The traction it generated on the slippery track was impressive.

mikeyscott 23-05-2011 05:24 PM

So when do the non team drivers get it? After next national?

TQ and win on first outing with CF chassis on dirt track at our nationals. Had fastest laps and car was easy to drive. I must note that I had ZERO runtime before with SX3 and I was extremely happy with it.
SX3 rocks :D

how are they so many SX3's around, but the kit hasn't been released yet? There were SX3's in the lowest heats on Sunday at Talywain. If it was only team drivers who have them how big is the schumacher team lol.

martin so16 31-05-2011 03:45 PM

how long does it take to put the kit in a box and send them out if all the parts are for sale on schumacher site someones takeing the mick

It's quite big I believe (if you don't count 'A' drivers) :)

There were a few in the lower heats as the drivers may have missed one or both rounds of the series, so weren't seeded.

The Chef 31-05-2011 08:46 PM

Does anyone actually have a F kin clue when the cat will be avalible or is it a pipe dream? If it is any longer than a real 2 weeks not a schumacher 2 weeks I'm getting a brace of TRF511's. The only thing that has stopped me to date is the spares supply. I like to be able to go to my local model shop and chat to the guy I'm buying my spares off. (Marc at M-K) Although he may rather I didn't lol.:p

mikeyscott 31-05-2011 08:57 PM

7 - 10 days. It'll be worth it. I' be borrowing a 511 for the regional I think. Developing a car isn't easy. Just fingers crossed for next week.

I'm sure your right developing a car is far from easy I'd imagine that it is a royal pain in the ass. I think the gripe is more that it has been disappointing with the false dates a more conservative release date might have been a better plan. I just don't like the car I'm driving and only bought it as a stop gap in feb thinking the cat would be out mid to late april. It is june tomorrow.

You see my point.

I hope it is worth the wait and the car has been delayed for all the right reasons.

mikeyscott 31-05-2011 09:08 PM

B44 isn't a bad car. Indeed timelines are frustrating, but hey ho life goes on :)

I should have kept my Durango or 511 lol or sx2 or FS2! Mind you it's enabled me to get a SV going well as it's all I have now.

Indeed you are right and me crying about it wont change diddly squat. And really if that is all I have to winge about the I really I know I should hold my noise. But for some reason I just cant gel with the B44, I don't know why, I just don't like it. Part of the issue is the fact that it is imperial. And i can't drive it very well, but that's my issue. I jut don't like the B44, I used to have a Bosscat and loved it a fantastic car and I wanted to come back to racing with the new cat having left off racing one all that time ago.;)

I wasn't looking at names, but there was 1 at least also in the low finals.

If the schumacher team cover all formula's then that's great. just what I'd like to see more of. I just thought it weird to see so many SX3's racing on sunday when the car hasn't been released yet :)

The Chef 31-05-2011 10:58 PM

Yes indeed if they cover all levels then hats off to them. What a better way to encourage new drivers into the sport if even us that are not very good could get a drive for a team. Top work.

There is hope for me yet:p

The Chef 01-06-2011 06:07 PM

Any news?

The Chef 02-06-2011 08:18 PM

Spoke to Schumacher today and they said they hope by next Thursday/Friday.

If not by then I'm getting the hump. There web site says availble late spring:o I beleive it is now early summer.:p

mikeyscott 02-06-2011 08:24 PM

If it does :) I'll have a long night building it before the regional! Got a few other bits to order for it.

If you don't why not speak to a few people re the B44 and getting it going better?

Good to hear this is out soon. Had toyed with the idea about getting it Xmas time, broached the subject with her in doors about changing my car and she's fine with it. Looks like I'll be getting it ASAP, only concern is if she doesn't mind me getting so soon , what does she want ;)
