I think rc-pineapple.com is better to be honest - that's where I do ALL my shopping (even for pineapples!)

Seriously tho, I shouldn't have mentioned it, since I don't think this rctopnews website gets any visitors anyway, but I'm still really worn out from the weekend and felt slightly peeved at this wholesale ripping :p

ashleyb4 25-03-2008 04:04 PM

hehe i left them a comment.

I can only see the rcbob comment, i subscribed to the feed as well:confused:

jimmy 25-03-2008 04:06 PM

must be moderated, so only you can see it until they approve it.. which they wont! Oh well - they just expanded their readership by 10000% !!! What was I thinking!

Im not suprised Jimmeh, its well out of order, is there anything that you can do, like encrypt photos so they cannot be copied and pasted?

Im no guru, and i doubt there is much you can to to stop the pikey bar stewards copying text:thumbdown:

jimmy 25-03-2008 04:30 PM

narrr, there's nothing that you can do, and I wouldn't want to stop people doing their own thing. But obviously some commercial news site ripping the whole report is a bit 'off' and not really cricket!.

Animals!

anyway, enough about them... you coming next time then Lee? it's worth owning an 8th buggy for even if you only race once a year! :)

Lee 25-03-2008 04:40 PM

Yes jimmy and its all your fault, the report made me want one again, so ill be ordering one in the next few weeks and you can get me in through the team oople back door :lol:

Hopefully i can get in myself though, by doing some club events over the summer and getting some results in 8th scale:eh?:

Northy 25-03-2008 04:43 PM

Lee,

Club meet results just won't cut it i'm affraid, to get into the Neo you have to be one of the worlds top 8th drivers!

:p:p:p:p:p

jimmy 25-03-2008 04:44 PM

http://www.oople.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gifOwing to the fact that as long as I have a hole in my nether regions I'll never be good enough to race at any of these big events I don't usually bother reading too many race reports. That said I've just finished reading every word of the Neo 08 and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I shall try my best to go and see the next one and see how it should be done and leave with an even bigger inferiority complex, doh!

Northy I see we've finally agreed on something, I run a Losi 8 also, although sadly with the same unco-ordinated thumbs as my previous 1/10 cars. From the photo's it looks as if your enjoying 1/8th and I hope everything is going well with 'her in doors'?http://www.oople.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif

jimmy 25-03-2008 10:36 PM

Just added an interview with the trophy girls to the day4 page!

just putting together Northys interview with Sloppy - but I'm not entirely sure I can post it! :o

Stu 25-03-2008 10:42 PM

Yeah we need it. Keep it as he said it.

If ever there was an incentive to become a shit hot driver, those 3 girls have to be close to the top of the list.

Agree with Stu. Slop's interview is bound to be hilarious!

jimmy 25-03-2008 11:04 PM

AWESOME photos stu, from comedy to awesome low down buggy shots. if you aren't laying in the dirt then you aren't getting the photos.

Lee 26-03-2008 09:21 AM

G, do you think the beard increased performance?

Did it catch on the mask you were wearing, like facial velcro:confused:

Northy 26-03-2008 09:28 AM

Well, I daren't shave it off incase my driving went to shit (I was actually driving well - well I thought so!).

It did help keep my face warm though :lol:

It's gone now though

G

Lee 26-03-2008 09:31 AM

I noticed!!

You and jim are usually pretty well matched, but with your impersonation of teen wolf you went to another level.

Good Man:thumbsup:

Northy 26-03-2008 09:33 AM

Lee, don't tell the 8th lads, but it's easy compared to 10th, it's like in slow motion!:lol::lol::lol:

That is obviously a joke ;)

G

Lee 26-03-2008 09:36 AM

I know exactly what you mean:thumbsup::lol:

Northy 26-03-2008 02:46 PM

Cool, now the big boys are at it, using Jimmy's pictures without asking:

http://www.losi.com/RaceCenter/News_Results.aspx

Funny it says he was using the Losi fuel, I saw someone run to the van to get that - oh and the Losi tyres to replace the Prolines :lol::lol:

G

Lee 26-03-2008 02:49 PM

Ha ha, i wonder what they were actually using fuel wise:confused:

On the same page, do you think Tebo looks like a flanders kid??

Lee 26-03-2008 03:03 PM

has anyone seen this baby

:o

jimmy 26-03-2008 03:05 PM

What you doing lee! They 'borrowed' my entire neo08 report for their news site - don't give them free advertising as well!

Northy - what I saw looks totally fine with the day 3&4 thing.. I'm happy for them and any news site to put a small bit of the report with a link to the full thing... but it was the other stuff with the whole report and NO link that was totally wrong.

Northy 26-03-2008 03:08 PM

Ooopps, just noticed that about days 3 & 4.

But I'd still urge people not to buy from them, or better still email saying you would have done if they hadn't ripped off content from your mates website

G

Lee 26-03-2008 03:13 PM

im not going to buy anything from them, i was just browsing for engines and saw that one, what is so special about it

Chris Doughty 26-03-2008 04:17 PM

was everyone running the full 10 min quallys on one tank or were most having to stop?

Northy 26-03-2008 04:32 PM

I did 13 minutes on a tank in round 1 Chris, and still had some left!

A lot were doing the full 10 mins.

G

jimmy 26-03-2008 04:34 PM

for some reason Stu ran out of fuel on 8.5 mins in his final - which was gutting as we had to run back to the pits with it and he went down from about 5th or 6th to 11th

Chris Doughty 26-03-2008 04:37 PM

that was one of the main reasons I didn't try and make it.

I had absolutely no idea how long I could do on a tank and I thought you would have had to do the full 10 min on one tank to stand a chance.

jimmy 26-03-2008 04:38 PM

with my ace 2nd hand engine and mad tuning skillz I was struggling to make 5 minutes last time. So 10 might have been pushing it a lil
