Thx :)
Rear tires are Losi Step In. Not good for dust, but good for wet. Stock front tires. |
There's a few more photos here:

I tried a B4 for comparison, and preferred the 'rat's less twitchy steering (though the empty front shocks may have something to do with that...). |
|
Ingenious kedal! :) CongRats :)
|
We can see the first result of the xpro and x4 at the SP race.
http://www.speedpassion.net/en/eventsDetails.asp?e=40 I don't find more picture or movie |
Awesome :), easier to drive than the madrat :D big fat soft compound tyres help I guess

Nice picture, and good pleasure to clean you car :p
|
Yes nicefrog! Congratulations to your new car! It is very pretty. I have taken with me only my monster truck now, and I'm really missing my Mad Rat :( The monster is an Amax Torche Pro and it cannot be compared to the Mad Rat. Many weak plastic parts and badly built car. And the shocks are catastrofic. Maybe once I will also buy a Macnum :)
But again, Congratulations nicefrog! I still like that paint :) |
Nice pic nicefrog !
What happened to your mad rat elod ?? |
fortunately almost nothing. what happened is that my friend with the other mad rat should've been having another race today, which because of bad weather was delayed with two weeks. he had his front plate broken and so I gave him mine, cas I couldn't be there on that race.
|
Otherwise, how are you guys?
(Maybe we should make an off topic thread for the Ansmann Racing-car talk where we could talk about anything. ) I have seen today two fields which we own in my home town. both in pretty good place. I would like to make an off road track here cas we don't have one yet. (I am working-and living- in another city, approx 300km from my home town) God I have this poor monster truck........:bored: It is not his fault, but it would need so much money to make it good that it doesn't worth it.... |
A quick shot of My car taking some air this afternoon at the Stonehaven club...
I was actually 2nd in the B final for a few laps till I lost the plot and came last LOL... still it's all fun :D http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/7...1006201311.jpg Most of the day I was suffering from huge grip roll but after some sage advice from Apricot Slice by the time the final came around the car was much better. I'm looking forward to getting a brushless system in the car and of course improving my driving hehe. J |
Some pics of my team c cars, new 4wd + stadium truck added.
Ive run the 4wd a few laps and out of the box its easy to drive, point and it goes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...r/DSC01813.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...c/DSC01814.jpg |
very nice family :wub
Now you have just to won :) |
They are awesome... I want my X4 now!..stamps foot..
J |
|
I've seen a lot worse :)
You could probably clean up the windows with some brake fluid on kitchen towel and work the area with your finger, be careful though as if you get the brake fluid anywhere else you'll loose that paint too :) J |
OOOOhohohoooo..... :))
Sorry my friend, but it really is awfull :P But at least ambitious ;) I would have done it all white and stickers on the outside. Or if something more complicated, then brake fluid, after which I would have made some kind of design using some masking tape. |
I must be the only one that likes the paint :) it's better than the standard madrat paint !
|
|
Nice little "precious" :) Congrats to it!
Though I've never understood what's so good in mudding... |
Quote:
I like my 4wd buggy in the summer |
Yeah there's wasn't any real mud around, it's just a nice amount of moisture to make good traction, like a speedway track. They are off road cars they belong in the dirt :)
|
|
need to get some racing pics, too busy driving though:)

Nice mad rat, I have change some screw too. Did you find a compelet pack of them?
You dumper was the 3 racing? |
Dampers are GPM, didnt want to get green ones, like having the colours matching. I had to use and drill out the aluminium spacer at the rear to keep the action smooth. The fronts just went straight on. Not sure of the weight of the oil but I swear by bosch chainsaw oil, I use it in all my car shocks.
The screws I got as a full set from ebay (even got a pile of spares) |
|
Nice and clean Rob !
|
wish mine where that clean.
heres from the top, nicefrogs truck, my buggy and nicefrog's abandoned for now *midrat* http://img.skitch.com/20100802-rfwcs...7y1cib37xh.jpg |
Nice and... not clean Posi ;)
|
|
I like how you have your servo setup and the batt forward
|
Yes ! Lot of steering because of the lipo's position and lot of rear grip and motricity because of the esc's position :)
AND a light car (1520gr) very good handling... I really love this weight configuration and couldnt go back to the stock weight configuration ! |
Motor Plate
I don't think these screws will pull through:-
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...MotorPlate.jpg |
I've done the same mod on my stock motor plate, but no need so far with the option motor plate.
|
I think, I will go to and make an "option motor plate" :P Mine is bent in an S shape. I hate it.
|
You guys are rough :) I haven't striped the threads or bent the plate yet (much), maybe only 1 or 2 degrees.
Today I'm going to pick up my 4wd from the post office and tonight I'll start the build thread, I'll try and take a macro picture of every single part and make it a good thread |
|
Congratulations nicefrog! :) Really no need for comments here :)
P.S. I will give one more season for myself to learn ro explore what the MadRat can offer, and after that I will buy a 4WD buggy, or SC truck |
