I think the Core springs which are included in the KF2 kit are longer than the original Schumacher springs.

James.

I'd love to know if this is the case?

The guys at MB Models have just very kindly lined up a set of the kit supplied Core rear springs next to a set of Schumacher springs of the same poundage and the Schumacher ones were shorter

Has anyone tried the base carpet setup as per the manual?

With this setup was the rear shocks mounted on the front or rear of the wish bone?

I don’t have 5 deg yokes are these worth getting?

Couple of things the quality of the build is excellent as you would expect.
Some small niggling issues though. Having to dremel the sidepod so can gain access to the shorty lipo come on schumacher do a proper one and with all the nice black parts why the grey ball cups could have been black lol.
I'm looking forward to giving the car a run this weekend

supposed to take it off to get lipo out, and the grey pro sockets are stiffer than the black ones they do

bigred5765 21-02-2015 07:34 PM

made a few more kf2 side pod weights

What happened to cause that?? First time I took my K1 aero out I delaminated my chassis and shattered the top deck. It was a full speed crash into a solid post after someone dropped shock oil all over the polished wooden floor.

Boons 22-02-2015 10:23 PM

Caught the rear wheel which snapped the hub. I wouldn't have thought it would bend the chassis though!

Boons 22-02-2015 10:24 PM

Does any firm do an alloy brace/nose for the front end?

Ouch! Thought it came with a carbon chassis.

dwp102 22-02-2015 10:54 PM

Were the fast schumacher guys still using the alloy chassis at worksop today?

To be fair that would be a big hit to bend the chassis!

So it's been out for a while, are the guys that run the KF and bought KF2 noticing a difference between the two cars, is one easier to drive than the other on a similar set up.

Basically is it worth changing to the 2.

CARB 04-04-2015 03:00 PM

I do not know if it is a better car or not I have one for sale, used once £200.00 Free posting.

Ross,

To be honest when I was building the car I couldn't see how it would give me any more performance over the old KF. I have be pleasantly surprised with the extra speed the car has given me and as mentioned before the new design is much simpler. It's a better car, the end!

Regards,
James.

Mines bent in the same spot. Caught the rear corner, ripped the wheel off. Wishbone intact, chassis bent allowing the pivot pin to pop out. . Mines the third KF2 to do this at our club!
