the weekend was great, very good track and the weather held up nicely, it started throwing it down just after the last of us were leaving after cleaning up and putting away the track, 2wd was interesting with the on and off rain and sun, think it came in myn and sean's favour a lil hehe :woot: rain dance  looking forward to the remaining ne regionals :) if anyone found an ae front oneway driveshaft today please let me know

super__dan 15-06-2008 06:52 PM

Needless to say I enjoyed the sat especially but both days the tracks were so good, challenging and rewarding, as good as grass tracks get for me!!!

Spektrum + new tranny cells = no interference for me :D

djduncaz 15-06-2008 07:37 PM

So did it Lee?

Thanks for all the kind words chaps, as always it's wasn't just me, the 'team' of people that helped Friday, Saturday and Sunday all deserve thanks - especially the guys who built the track Friday afternoon while I had to go back to work for a couple of hours.

People saying they enjoyed it and even coming up to say thanks before they leave will mean that me feeling totally knackered all day tomorrow at work will be worthwhile

Thanks,

G

bigred5765 15-06-2008 09:07 PM

Chrislong 15-06-2008 09:35 PM

PMSL, did't Linda put them somewhere safe?

How did you get home mate?

jimmy 15-06-2008 10:22 PM

have to say the track was good, the jumps were all excellent and fun to drive on, not an obstacle course.

mattym0310 16-06-2008 06:00 AM

Someone left a barbecue! I think mike took it home :D

I think i lost my sunglasses :(

Other than that, it was a great weekend, brilliant tracks, ran really well through both days.

If they were *branded* sunglasses, I handed them in to Phil and Derek at Race control. So if you see either of them sporting some unusual eyewear!!!!!

They were by marshall point 9

Lee 16-06-2008 07:47 AM

Northy:

Yes it surpassed the other two meetings in my opinion, well done to the York Club for there efforts

For me, saturday was crap, rain and interference, but the car felt so good in between which was a shame.

4wd was good, i qualified higher than i thought i would considering the competition, but the steering link coming off on the straight and then the car nailing the fence at the end flat out because of it put an end to my day. But it was a top weekend none the less.

nobby 16-06-2008 08:45 AM

thanks everybody from the york club for a good weekend.
i wouldn't say this weekend wasn't any better than jarrow or south shields but it was just as good so what i'm saying is all three meetings so for have been well run the tracks have been great and all meetings have ran like clock work.

the only thing i could winge about was how far away from the track some of us had to pit but may'be i should of come down on friday to get a good spot so that's down to me i suppose:(

welldone to all the clubs so far it up to batley now to keep it going:thumbsup:

oh and i forgot my transmitter so i had to use peter ellis spare futaba:blush: thanks peter.

again welldone york let's keep it going at batley and show the rest of the country how to run a race meeting like the clubs that have ran rounds so far:p

chrispattinson 16-06-2008 08:57 AM

Thank You York club, and well done. I could only attend on the Sunday, but had a great day. The track was excellent, so well done to those that built it and dismantled it, and thanks to the guys at race control for a top meeting.
