What time will the first heat be going on??

pesky badger 26-10-2007 10:34 AM

Has anyone got a spare battery charger as mine just let all its smoke out

Nick Goodall 26-10-2007 10:41 AM

First heat is usually on by around 10am / 10:30 latest.

I haven't got a spare charger i'm afraid :(

pesky badger 26-10-2007 10:41 AM

Should have added to the above post "for use on Sunday at CML"

I won't be using mine much Pesky. I turn up ready to rock. I'll probably only need it once.

A battery strap for a B4 however, now there's something I need. It's on order from Apex, so hopefully it will turn up.

And I've got to clean and rebuild the car too. Yikes.

Elliott.

I like your charger. It looks smart.

I have Deans by the way Stu. But we can fix that.

Elliott.

pesky badger 26-10-2007 12:32 PM

Cheers Elliot. If you've got a spare Deans connector that will plug into your charger then I'm sure I can sort out the connection to my batteries. If not then let me know asap and I'll try to get a Deans connector.

Elliott Hopkins 26-10-2007 12:45 PM

Does anyone have a female Deans connector spare then?

:D

Unfortunately apex sell you stuff they don't have in stock without actually telling you until it turns up so I wouldn't hold your breath, done that one before :(

modelimages 26-10-2007 03:44 PM

i have a spare one you can use

Elliott Hopkins 26-10-2007 03:54 PM

Thankyou John, I'll stop by your mobile shop on Sunday.

Clanfield caused me to break the weirdest stuff.

I was taking a chance with Apex. Fool that I am. The Badger is in the area, shopping on my behalf.

Elliott.

I actually had a go at apex a few times over the stuff i ordered since it came in dribs and drabs and took weeks, wrong stuff was sent etc etc, it's actually not even ordered stock, they order it when you order it. Their online shop is "just a catalogue of what we can get" :wtf:

I gave up using them after it took them 3 weeks to get a set of b4 front wishbones, if you want fast mail order dms racing in watford are very good, the guy there should tell you if stuff is out of stock I have ordwed on a thursday morning and had it arive by friday midday before.

mobile chicane 26-10-2007 04:47 PM

will there be step pins for sale on sunday ?

JCJC 26-10-2007 04:57 PM

DMS are good, I know Wayne & Jim race at the club in the week, & Wayne sprays shells for DMS. Best way to shop I find is telephone John at ModelImages/Raceplace in the week and if he's got the parts or can get them he will bring them to CML or trackside for collection.

Have a poke round in the Garage, last meeting there were a good dozen mounted on B4 rears on the floor, himselfs castoffs ??

Elliott Hopkins 26-10-2007 05:20 PM

Giles, contact Jacqui Rowcliffe at Wings and Wheels they have loads of pairs or at a pinch, visit the Green Mini on Sunday. Although you guys are going through my supplies.

I've used and liked Microtech and MK Racing and The Race Place is a godsend on a Sunday, but I thought I'd try Apex for old times sake.

Elliott.
