Thanks Tony, but what under servo weight is normally used??

The 36g one or the 72g one??

I promise I will wake up soon.
The majority use the heavier under servo Mark

ben 06-08-2010 01:21 PM

Normally the 36g one Mark.
Nearly got my car done, the build quality is really good!

Cheers Tony we got there in the end! Lol

Ben post some pics up when you have it all done!

The Pookster 06-08-2010 03:17 PM

Nearly built mine.

Interesting how it is all new but Associated haven't really pushed that and concentrated on a few upgrades. It's more than that.

Nice to see that Tony has finally come round to using AE shocks on his 2WD... I am sure this will make his life easier as we can all help on set-up!

All he has to do now is turn the LiPo round and have the plugs near the rear bulkhead, and solder the connectors at 90-degrees - would look sooooooo much neater!!!!!!!!!:p

so if you wanted to upgrade your old b4 to 4.1 spec what would you need?

Any part numbers available?

Are you on evo-t?

b4.1 debut

A good start with the b4.1 at silverstone today from tony evdoka.......

Tom cock had the fastest time of the day with tony hot on his heels in second....infact....i dont think tom could take the pressure and decided to go home after qualifying(only kidding tom.....we know you had a 4 hour drive ahead).:D The A final was a 2 legged affair and after a poor leg 1 (thanks to me....taxiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii for burton:cry:)tony doninated the second leg , winning by some distance. I have to say when i heard that AE were not bringing out a totally new car i was quite dissapointed but looking at the b4.1 there are lots and lots of suttle changes......and with new plastic parts and new shocks and a few geometry changes the car looks a whole lot better than the old car. Well done tony:D (and your car looks better with yellow wheels)

Nice one Tony  - please post your setup!!

spenner 08-08-2010 08:05 PM

Echo Mr Burton's comments, Tony did look good today as did the B4.1. Made a change to see a car with something hanging out the back of it be in the mix..... At regional level.

New car syndrome thats all! Haha joking aside, wish i had of run my new car after reading that. Good Job Maaa...

Cockerill 08-08-2010 08:32 PM

Shame it's still got them angled sides, so Nick (Tony) couldn't figure out how to stick his speedo down :p

GRIFF55 09-08-2010 07:15 AM

Nice one MAAAA, good to hear you are running proper wheels too!!

RudeTony 09-08-2010 07:20 AM

Firstly yes the car was great but Tom ‘God’ is at another level and I wish him the best for the forthcoming important National at Stotfold....also Tom, the speedo still moved (he he) - Lee M I need your tape!!!!

Ben says new car syndrome and there must be a bit of that in there somewhere I suppose.

As John also commented, this is 'regional/club level' but for sure this is where confidence is built and then reflects at National level. I also say that if the car looked good in my hands then surely you would agree it would look brilliant in let’s say Bradders hands……

One would try to pin point the reason the car was performing so good and you could say, it’s the new chassis, or the new V2 shocks or the new slipper clutch or this and that and so on but I think it’s ALL the overall improvements put together and I suppose a good set up helps as well.
This is the set up I run and would recommend for the forthcoming Regional and Silverstone Weekend at the end of the month and end of year F3/4/5s….

I also tried/tested the controlled tyres for the Silverstone Weekender at the end of the month - the Fastrax Turf Rippers – My lap times were more or less the same as Schumacher tyres and the tyres were really good - I had to trim the front outside row though for an easier drive......I hope this helps and I will post a set up sheet

Shame they don't do a stagger rib, the past, present and future of 2wd front tire :p
