Cracking day, shame I totalled the CAT in the first leg but not to worry!

Had a one-way in for the first time and it gave me so much more around the tighter sections of the Infield and also it was great to get on flat grass!!

Good effort to the Oswestry group as well, cheers all!!

Also gotta love Stuart Harlow's A final winning the A final by a lap. The pit stop was awsome.

I was hoping to race there today but couldn't due to the milage... ended up racing at a local club instead.

Did anybody take any photos of the days racing??? can you post them for all to see??

Thanks, Jon!

Just got back..

What a day.. Cracking track, great weather & a great atmosphere, really enjoyed myself today..

Pity I overcooked the jump on the first attempt in practice, nearly landed in race control ha ha

Took a few pics and also tryed using the camera for a bit of video from one of the top 4WD heats.. link below quality isnt great but viewable..

Thanks to Ash Jono and all the guys at Oswestry who setup and ran the meeting, look forward to seeing you all at the next round in Ledbury..

Jonesy..

Thanks or should I say thanks to your "pit crew" for the tips, Cat ran well in the finals, managed to notch an extra lap following your advice...

What were you running in yours by the way.. 5.5 ? what gearing it looked so quick...

Cheers again for the tips though mate, much appreciated..

See ya in a couple of weeks if your coming down to ledbury for the next round

The next BCL event at Ledbury the electric 1/10 cars will use the electric buggy track and the Nitro's will use the Nitro track. (2 seperate tracks)

It was good to see an 8e do more than 3 laps to be honest, I like the idea as there are no nitro engines to go wrong, but it does not seem that popular as a class at the mo.

I've posted my full set-up in the Schumacher CAT SX set-up page, link below:

http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...t=14058&page=7

It was a 5.5 I was running, geared at 23/83 and using the Kit Standard Pulleys 33/23

I will be at Ledbury as well so feel free to pop over!

Really enjoyed yesterday. Thought the track worked really well. The jump was nice and consistant and it seamed to flow nicely.

The pit stop in the 8th final was as slick as anything you would see in F1:thumbsup::thumbsup:

panch 27-04-2009 09:47 AM

Here's another vid from the weekend, this one from in front of the jump, not the best angle and whoever was marshalling should really give the camera crew some room

Right at the end of the vid, its my car that grip rolls on the negative camber bank and into the oncoming traffic.. Shock ripped off mine.. not sure about the other car.. appologies if it was yours..

Sorry for hitting your car. didn't mean too, just could react in time. Was my own fault for being off line in the corner before. Was there much damage done to your car?

Andy no probs all part of racing..Wasnt too bad just the shock ball end ripped off nothing i couldnt fix. Plus watching the video back I liked the sound effects added by the marshal stood by my camera ha ha

Pity though had just made the changes Jonesy suggested and was on the charge  thought I was gonna get the 13 needed for the A final..

Richard_Griffiths 27-04-2009 03:49 PM

ha ha you have to love the deep intake of breath as your car gets hit.
