Well, round 5 tomorrow is going to be pretty interesting. Reckon the current top 6 are pretty safe in the A but think there are about another 10 who could take the other 4 places with good results.

Bizarre call by Dallas to ask the leader to let second through in the top heat?

2nd bizarre call this year & the first one was against XRAY as well:confused:

steveproracing 09-10-2015 01:26 PM

Well, surprise suprise. More controversy with X-ray at the worlds. It seems to follow them where ever they go at min. It's wrong. I personally will not be buying any of their products as I don't want to be seen to support there conduct.
However I would like to say that I do not tar any of the U.K. Team in this nasty brush. Greg Hill is a sound guy and an ambassador for X-ray products. I just think the international team at the min are discraceful.

It was interesting Call by Dallas, but if you watch the racing, you can understand why!
He was faster at that time (not earlier i agree) and behind Bruno gearbox for a few laps, and when let through he pulled away!
Don't forget you are racing the clock not other drivers so you should not hold anyone up!
Ok im a Kyosho guy but i would say same for any driver!

Very true, agree, someone may take 1 min to get get upto full speed where as another maybe at full speed from the outset, we are always told to let the faster car through. How can he be the faster car if he cant get past?

Totally agree. It was a wise and tough decision from Dallas.

I've seen faster drivers get stuck behind lapped cars and race control said nothing. Either they call traffic or they don't. Just do the same for everyone.

Ross 09-10-2015 05:48 PM

Can I ask what Xray have been up to ?

Skidrow 09-10-2015 05:55 PM

It is the X7 basic layout but with 3-gear gearboxes and a transverse shorty (have been running exactly this layout since 2011 in several races including 4 euros)

Yeah I saw that and thought it was just daft. It was the same with the 2wd from what I had seen of the photos.

Why Hara isn't present at world?

stumpiey 09-10-2015 08:11 PM

hara didn't qualify due to not doing any major 10th off road meetings.

the whole jorn running durango's is just plain stupid and the worst PR job ever

Worst PR job for who though? Because embarrassing as it might be for Serpent, the fact that Jorn is beating Durango's own team should be pretty embarrassing to them too. In 2wd he out qualified official Durango 2wd's running a converted 410, now he is using what looks a lot like the last worlds car to beat the latest worlds car.

Doesn't look good for anyone concerned....

But Naoto hadn't been lapped, totally agree with him being called through..

racingdwarf 10-10-2015 09:03 AM

well Bruno Coelho world champ, I called that one:), Not really who I wanted but to be fair he drove well throughout 4wd,Xray again not the car/team I wanted to win but they have invested time and money to get the result.

big well done to tom great stuff, I'm a little disappointed we didn't have more brits up in the ranks considering nearly all our national racing is on astro:cry:

As for Dallas I think it a hard call, top heat with 6 drivers swapping places every lap with split seconds between them, going wide to allow anther car through can cost you 2x places end of round think you just have to let them race, unless they are a whole lap down. How Bruno did what he did in A1 and got away with it I don't know, he waited sort of but only to pick up were he left off, but I suppose we would all have done what he did in the split second you have to think about it with a whole pack of world class drivers on your wing.

No USA drivers on the podium and No AE in the A, not a happy bunch I should think.

I like that... The US might just hold their own big race and call it the worlds or similar then crown someone from the US

AE does need to work on their 4wd although i do get beaten by them on occasions
