Did you run it with the kit setup on it?
I'm giving mine a run this weekend, on carpet & put the carpet setup on it.
Fingers crossed now.

I had to soften up the front with 2 dot springs & 32.5wt oil & put 2mm down travel limiters in. Then I piddled around with more anti squat & camber links. Forgot to put the rear shocks on the back though, will try that next time.

Pedros20 21-11-2013 09:17 PM

Sounds good. Did you struggle for steering? Be interested to hear how it goes with the shocks on the rear of the wishbones. You running it again this weekend?

andoiwebb 21-11-2013 09:25 PM

Just trying to get that touch more off power initial steering. Will run it for practice at cov on Sunday, racing the 4wd.

I broke my MR2 drive shaft at the thread yesterday on the first couple for laps (everyone was on 2wd) so I removed the drive shafts and front diff and drove it with max kick up I could get from a XB4 and I must say that after a oil change and removal of the ARB front and rear I am pretty happy with how it drove.

Now my eyes are open for the XB4 2WD and a swap from the MR2.

If anyone is suffering with lack of steering on the XB4 2WD, add 3mm washers to the hub on the front camber link - as the 4wd, this sharpens up the front loads. Also use the 2 dots front springs and soften the oil to about 32.5wt Losi, these mods transform the car. If running indoors use the shortest rear camber link for more rotation.

Whats the rest of your setup?

Oops sorry, only just seen your post. When I get chance this weekend I'll post something

This is where I'm at with my indoor set up, it's livened it up a fair bit from the kit set up.

Just finished building mine. One thing I have noticed is that it's considerably longer than the XB4 4wd. Eager to give it a run on some astro tomorrow. Practice for Sunday racing at Coventry.

See yah there Andy. Sat or/and Sunday?

Nice, I've got a benchmark for my wiring now

Beautifully as always, and nice to see some new Saddles from Orca (been waiting for 2 years now)

Really looking forward to track feedback.

I've just built mine and have to say the quality is amazing. Was feeling miserable after having to stop using my tm2 due to the absima let down but I've perked up a bit now lol

Well looks like a car I built last year CE1, well a man in a garage development's a car then a company just copes all my ideas, I have been developing this car for 7 month's with no help now finally getting it to work in the wet / slippery conditions as well as in the dry. The car above looks so much like my car I'm running and people have seen it racing indoors and outdoors with good results in the right hands.

I'm sorry if it is true that it is a copy of your work

Looks good anyway :p

Hi if you go to page 3 of this thread half way down photos of my car from last year then you can decide under focusmad

It looks like Xray were 'inspired' by the Team C TM2 car to me. That was the first car with the shorty lipo one side and motor and speedo the other side that I can recall seeing. The white body on Bayers car looks quite a lot like a Team C one too.
