Jimmy, we may need to adjust the shocks with all that extra lead in there - maybe swap the pistons for some Fister items and go up a spring rate.

Dan ran mine on Sunday for a few laps. 'cos he said it looked ace. Verdict was that it felt good, if a little safe (front end is kit standard).

Do you have some Fister pistons available Stu?

Bollocks. My beloved Keyence ESC has just given of its magic smoke :(

Lowie 03-03-2009 08:23 PM

what are Fister Pistons, Jimmy. In what way are they different from the stock ones?

timmy121 03-03-2009 08:31 PM

fister pistons are just piston blanks that stu had made ( blanks no holes) i have them in my pred just drill them to the size you want

I never thought for one second i should run brushless in my X11, Brushed gear was always spot on!

I ran brushless in my old X10 car and wasnt keen at all..

Alfonzo 03-03-2009 11:42 PM

I loved my brushless, but there again - my brushed setup was sh*t, I was melting wires and all sorts. And I hated skimming comms. A good brushed will hold its own against brushless on the track any day, but doesn't offer any advantages IMO (other than cheaper of course).

Thanks Alfonso, yeap its the way i paint all of my cars. Plain and simple...preds sit so low , makes it hard to see them in a far distance especially in a big track. So i go with this plain and bright scheme,,, i can easily spot it at the back of the track ...

Is that the B4 brace that you used, right?

timmy121 15-04-2009 05:17 PM

shocks

hi tom. i've gone to use threaded associated tc4 shock bodys on my pred now. the pred shock shafts will fit straight in and you'll have the advantage of qiuck ajustment. althore the bodys are slightly shorter, i aint seen it alter the way the pred handles!!

Tom3012 16-04-2009 12:10 PM

Hi migsy...

I was thinking about trying tc shocks out before i got the big bore shocks, never really got round to it though...

Were you using big bore shocks or the standard ones when you switched to tc4 shocks?? Just curious because i found the big bore ones to be a big improvement over the older style, especially on my local track.

My pred x10. The shell isnt my doing, my own will be on its way in the near future. As soon as i saw a pred i knew i HAD to have one. They are the best looking 4wd off road buggys ever. I just need to get good at driving now

Tom3012 30-04-2009 01:34 AM

I really like that shell!!

Looks Good - I like the mix of colors!!

I can't decide if I want to have my front wing painted.

For those who do it - is it easier to see where the car is on the track??

vomBerg 24-05-2009 12:38 PM

Thanks nikos2002,

my shell ist far from perfect. It was my first try with the airbrush gun.
In my opinion, itīs indeed easier to see the car on the track. Of course,
it depends on the color you choose.
The new orange, black wheels of the X11 donīt fit to my color schema,
so i often use the white ones from the X10.

Does the X11 shell fit to the X10 chassis????????????????????????
