I actually like it! Most other cab fwd bodies out there are far worse... ;)
The rattle can paint job above isn't exactly a paragon of beauty, of course.

budgio 27-11-2012 08:58 PM

Thanks mes
I really wanted a BIGGER Official Yokomo Photo showing it in all its glory with a super special paintjob
:D

As the kit is supposed to be released before christmas, it can't be that long until we'll get something official. :)

If you want to go the gear diff route, a few changes would be needed and you do seem to get quite a bit in the conversion kit for your money, including body.

Personally though if I was in the position of having rear and mid motor versions, I wouldn't bother with the upgrade and keep it as it is. If not just for its originality:)

mes 28-11-2012 06:37 PM

Pricing for the conversion kit is ok, so I'll probably get one. Maybe I'll get a 2nd kit later on, but for the time being, the mid-motor car will suffice - that's some extra money for buying another personal transponder and other stuff! :D

Yes, for us...European countries...Approx 70 euros...
It is not expensive than C4 or other convertion kit...for those who got the Bmax2 "Classic"

Before Christmas...:(
Not sure...perhaps 27th of December

mes 30-11-2012 06:36 PM

That's still before Christmas in Eastern Europe and Ethiopia! :p
Germany will probably not see the kits before late January; ok by me as I'll not be be racing again before early march anyway... ;)

Battery configuration

Does anyone know what battery configurations the B-Max 2 MR will take? In all the pictures I have seen the battery used is a shorty lipo. I was hoping it could take saddles as that is all I currently use.

discothesnake 03-12-2012 04:09 PM

If you look at the shorty lipo, there is a square outline around it's situation and the speedo sits forward so it is certainly designed for saddle lipos.

evertonal 03-12-2012 08:03 PM

Looking at the MR it does seem that you could fit saddles side by side, which is good news. I can't wait to get mine and the updated big bore shocks with the bleed caps look ace!

mes 03-12-2012 08:28 PM

They are ace! ;)

Want one! Great price too! Is it metric or imperial?

going by bd7 will be metric

Craig W 06-12-2012 02:11 PM

saddle of shorty lipo

mes 06-12-2012 06:16 PM

All Yokomos are metric. The MR in mid-motor configuration will most probably also accept full-size lipos in combination with a low-profile servo.
