But rear suspesion arms are 6mm more behind on SWB version. (Wedging 6mm front fo the suspension arm). Then wheel balance is 4mm shorter for the SWB version than first version. I try SWB but i find it very aggressive steering, but I have to try again... |
Ok, this version has a lot of steering if im right? How about rear grip?
It is easier in my meaning to work steering away then find it. If i not remebering wrong, when i used my old s2 (first tube verison) it was kind of slippery on real loose tracks...the end was almost everywhere...but the car was working REAL good, took me to 3rd pos Qual of 31 finished 7th 2008/05 |
The SWB car was a better car all round & had far more traction than the old one.
|
Thanks Matt, glad to hear that :D

Hi all,
I just thought I'd Post some Photos of my Mates NEW SWB Atomic S2, as it has some Exclusive 'WHITE' Gearbox Casings fitted to it, which look well 'Pimp', specially with the White Bodyshell & Wing as well. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...sAtomicS22.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...sAtomicS23.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...sAtomicS24.jpg |
ditch the RPM front bumper and it would look pimpin'
|
Very nice!! if it were me, i'd go for white call cups too:drool:
|
Very nice car, lose the blue bumper and place soms white ball cups and it looks a lot less gay:lol:
|
good call on the white ball cups!
JConcepts white ones would be great! |
Losi ones would look better, and thay don't get filthy dirty the first time you touch them
|
Like it alot!, but i think the RPM-bumper kills the last "touch".

hi guys regarding the biggg blue rpm bumper its only there to hold the front on as the car has been converted from a factory team T4:p
also thanks to jonathon at atomic for the white gearbox:thumbsup: my son james is over the moooon with it :woot: it makes my black gearbox look booooooring:confused: |
From a T4? Isn't it too wide for racing regulations then?
|
Well, a update regarding my S2 is here..the first rear protoyp Hingepinbrace is done.. there will be som small mods on that one, cuntersunk etc.. no pics today, will be here tomorov.
The weight is app between 20-29 gram for the rear brace, the "front, rear" will be little lighter, i think we will havv around 50 gram + -... |
Update. Some small issiues have come up, the machine that does all this work, wont work as good as we thought it should...so for the moment
There is a 1 anti/3toe rear hingepinbrace done..and the little square done tomorrov i hope. I hope all my alu is glass-sanded (compressed air) every single aly peace on my cars will be "grey" alloy The chassi is Lipo ready to... JUst waitning for some team wave products :) |
So, finaly i picked up some parts...i am realy pleased with the result...
The Lipo brace will be one of a kind, be sur eon that one... http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0011.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0010.jpg SOme parts... http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0009.jpg |
Looks very nice, the brass rear brace as well, what does it weigh extra compared to the standard carbon fibre pieces?
|
I think it was 29 + the little pice (maye 20 so say MAX 50gr) vs app a few grams only for the CF parts..
|
Just some small update...

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0037.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0039.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0040.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0041.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0042.jpg |
Looks very nice, but how will you prevent the battery packs from sliding to the back of the car? I know you have a Li-Po tray, but normally lead is used which will raise your battery pack over the tray height.
|
I wont run my S2 with any Led. the only Extra i use is the brass reartoe block. Im no fan of extra weight, and i think with some laboration with the setup i will find a descent one for my car. I am against Led cant stand the thought of it :D... (i have been running my erlier S2 with only 5 cells) and that aint such a big diffrence between 5 cells and the Lipo packs im using)
Thanks ROssi for the comments, a ic when the ESC and motor is installed will be up asap the arrives to me.. |
I like to run it with some extra weight, depending on the track. I always use at least 100gr of lead under the Trakpower packs, but on some tracks 200gr is just awesome.
|
Yes i know, mostley led is used Rossi, but i think anyway i will run it without. But who knows maybe i have to rethink :D (but i do not think so) ;)
|
Missing the Front shockmount bushings and will buy some extrea .6 shockshafts..the one in place is now AE .71...
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0045.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...B/DSC_0046.jpg |
