Looks fantastic! What's it made of? Some sort of styrene?

Oliv996 05-06-2008 07:47 AM

Hi SHY :)

It has been made with plater for moulding. I hope to succeed in vacuform it at home. If someone could give me some good advice to perform this job, I will be please to read him (or her)

And what about SHY's MiD44 ?

I was away on vacation, and I'm getting married in one month... so I'm kinda "grounded" as to playing with my little cars for the moment  But you can see the church program if you like? :p

Going to the Nordics in Finland next weekend though...

I promise I will test it as soon as time permits!

Oliv996 05-06-2008 09:05 AM

It's never gonna happen...sorry...
Wes and Stallard are 20 year racers

Stallard will have a better chance beating WES than I would.

At least I got the facts outa the way.

Lee 05-06-2008 02:57 PM

What colour pens do you use on your wheels? Make and model number would be good too

Do you find you wheel better with funky designs on the wheels?

You are kick ass

Well, I'm a 20 1/2 years racer, so that makes me better doesn't it?

I could beat WES no problem.

Good point!

IMHO there are others on this forum that are not far from B-Mags level... one might wonder if the goal is to make as many postings as possible as opposed to the content of the posts... :bored:

Cheers, Ole

Ole, aren't you the secret son of SHY :woot: ?

BTW, fantastic job you've done, and I like the way you achieved to do what you want to do. It's pity the front top desk isn't mounted with screws on the center bulkhead, but I know you have to cope with it anyway...

Have you test your moded-B44 yet?

Nice work here. Nothing a dremel and some TLC can't do, right ? bravo!

Here it is: Team-Azarashi becomes our main partner in this project. Now, they will produce and distribute the MiD44 conversion kit in early July.

Good work Ole! He's kinda my protegé...

Not really, he's a real young talent and figures out most things by himself. And he's ice cold and drives really smooth and makes few mistakes. He's 16 and MUCH too sensible for his age! When he's past 30 he'll be falling asleep while driving I think...

I even think he likes to pass me  I'm sure we'll have a nice fight at the Nordics this weekend in Finland!

Crap! He even got oOple stickers before I did!...

Myself I still struggle getting more than a decade of jammed throttle fuel onroad out of my system...

Ole K. 10-06-2008 07:05 AM

Thanks guys!

The front top-deck is actually mounted with screws on the center bulkhead. Dremmeled some holes in the rear of the top-deck, so the cap head screws go through the Center Bulkhead Cap, and down through the top-deck and then to the Center Bulkhead, and it's on! ;)

Have tested the car now, and DAMN, this car is ACE!:woot:
Looking forward to see how the car goes at the Nordics this weekend, or what SHY? ;)
Don't feel safe now, when I have this one hell of a ride! :D
Yeah, we'll have a nice fight at the Nordics SHY, no doubt, gonna' be ace!

Will come back with some words after the weekend about how the car was!

anyone know the steps involved to get the driveshafts polished like olivier has done.

they look superb

Oliv996 12-06-2008 06:09 PM

Here is what I've done to achieve it:
Roll a piece of sand paper (typically 640 grade) on a simple shaft, this way:
http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/7875/img1230oq7.jpg
Use this tool on Dremel to prepare polish

Then, put polish paste on the parts and still with dremel, equiped with polish drum polish them :woot:

Hope this helps

Olivier

ben27111973 13-06-2008 12:12 AM

thanks olivier, Ill give it a go on the weekend. got some polishing compound this morning.

I gather you use the sandpaper on the shaft to mix it up in to a paste as it comes in a block that looks pretty hard?

yzmerf 16-06-2008 04:10 AM

So when can we get this in the States? sounds like at least July. I still have not seen the price though.

Jean-Christophe 16-06-2008 06:05 AM

Hello,

please consult Team Azarashi, you ll get the informations you need.

Best regards
Jean-Christophe

I'm really looking forward to the first weekend in August and the race in Trondheim! I will try my very best to keep up with you there:)

I am really impressed of the Mid44 "project" Oliver! It will help a lot to get that help from Team-Azarashi. Good luck, and keep up the good work!

Should I???

Hey there people,

Seriously considering purchasing a MID44 kit for my B44.

Was wondering what people think think, if you would recommend it???

Many thanks.

mattym0310 19-07-2008 08:38 PM

looking at all the pictures both on here and mid44.com I would say yes, it is a great looking car, it also looks awesome round the track in the video on youtube. Anyone have results or info. on how it did at the euros??

I think that if you already own a b44, go for it :)
