You really need to be on the ball, try to get in the habit of going prone to reload, dont run around in the open too much if you find you get slotted all the time, keep close to walls, shoot from behind solid objects etc:).

Also a fast internet connection and a good connection to the "host" is a HUGE advantage. So much so I am considering moving house and the speed of the broadband where I move to is a big factor for me:p

The most important tip I have, is to get used to the maps. If you know the layout, it helps a lot.

I used to be absolutely terrible. Really really bad, as in 3 kills, 20 deaths, and finishing last, or second to last in every game.

However, give it time. Keep your wits about you. Don't go running around corners, and make sure you look around you whenever you are moving around.

Nowadays, I generally finish a match with a k/d of 1.00 or something like that.

However, sometimes I get 20 kills, 10 deaths, other times I get 4 kills, 10 deaths. I find it very difficult to be consistent.

Anyone on xbox can add me by all means and play with me and a few friends, usually all of whome race. KD is pretty high same with kill streak so add me if you wish

Just got MW2 on PS3....and getting used to play FPS on a controller (rather than a mouse on PC) has taken a while...but does work with practice!

Awesome game...Just starting to get the hang of playing multiplayer...really tough at first...just being killed constantly, so I get where Griff is coming from, I mostly suck right now too!

But as you learn the maps, and find the best weapon combos it does get easier...realising that with higher ranks you get better weapons and other power ups also helps out...no wonder the higher ranked players are better at it...they have all sorts of extras! F'ing gunships for starters!!! And radars & heart monitors also help!

Only got as far as rank/level 18 so far, but some of the extra's are already dead handy...now starting to kill as often as I die...sometimes...need more practice! :woot:

just got the infected challenge done last night. was very confused when i couldnt find it in the challenge list, untill i searched it on google. anyone else done this? for people who dont know, its an easy 1000xp by getting killed by someone with infected as their title, or you get STD aparently if you kill someone with it.

Anyone know how/if it's possible to make your friends appear as blue arrows on the mini map like you could in cod5 instead of eveyone showing as green?

I've had that, when you join a friends party, all other members of the party show up as blue arrows.

Yeah, I've recently got the "infected" and "STD" callsigns. You get infected if you get stabbed by someone using that callsign. You get "STD" if you stab someone using the "STD" callsign.

There should be a way to create a party, but I haven't found how to do it yet.

I think I'm on level 61, but it does take a loooong time to level up now. Not like getting up to level 20 or so! At least I usually get more kills per game than I get killed now, I've just got an overall kill to death ratio of 1.01:1 :thumbsup:

Isn't a party just when you "invite" or get invited your friends? If you've been invited or invited someone then they show up as blue on the map.

Not done it much so far, but that seemed to be what was happening.

For blue arrows to show up on map you have to join a party outside of the map (in lobby) then go into a game all together.

The only info I could find on the PS3 & PC map pack was that it will be at least 30 days after the xbox release (which was the 30th March)...with no confirmed date so far...all this stupid exclusivity rubbish does anoy me :mad:

Gotta love blowing holes in buildings....and flattening them completely...and I've not seen any glitch cheating scum so far either :D

Infinity ward are not making the next call of duty, Trey archy are making it (the people who made world at war) and it's going to be based in Vietnam and is due for release in November 2010. World at war is by far better than MW2, i found on MW2 its full of kids either camping or just running around with their finger held on the trigger, and the kill streak perks have been taken way too far! World at war is still No.1 there is a lot more skill and tactics involved.
