Whats up with this??? Durango seems not be interested in earning money. They realese teasers and then what? I am sitting on a large 4wd budget and the outdoors season is here. Frustrating the lack of information surronding the car. Anybody know something new? Otherwise I go buy something else.

http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/neo09/ ******** There's nothing Amateur about Team Durango however and they were seen preparing their new 1/10th scale Durango for lord knows what reason - but it gave us an opportunity to get some photos of the new car which should be out in May 2009. ******** However the word "should" is used .... |
Thanx!!!
Some updates at least! Always something. Yes, the word "should" is used:bored:. |
anyone got any ideas what the price will be?
|
Expencive I guess!
And from where can I get one that ships abroad? Who is the importer in the U.K. Perhaps there will be a website with pre order. |

"should" may be the release date a lot of the parts will already be made and durango may only be waiting for some parts to be produced or waiting for the distribution to be sorted out. I for one can't wait  may not get it straight away but will get one eventually:thumbsup: Love the brass plate for ballast

How about this. Is it possible to run Ae or losi rims do you think?
|
They look like Losi fit to me. Wouldn't think they would use anything else.
Parts look very high quality though:drool: |
Couldnt agre with you more. The parts look very high qual. Perhaps one doesnīt need another car xtra just for spares;).
|
|
this sounds very nice.. hopefully they wont test it too long =)
|
Like they haven't already! Tested it I mean. It means its not even in production phase yet because if they find more ways to improve it, they will have to make the changes before the actual kit is manufactured. I am bored of waiting. I am going Kyosho instead.

Someone said the same thing about Yokomo Bmax. After a race in Sweden I heard that they had broken quite a few suspension arms... |
Yeah , but the Durango and B-max is the opposites of each other. The Durango is a pure bread race machine and the B-max a beginners kit. Think the Durango team is testing so extensivly just for the fact that they are willing to give us the best machine possible;)
|
Guys, what are you talking about :confused:
When you buy a car you want it to be the best it can be, i would rather the team spent another 3-6 months testing and developing than release an inferior car  The bmax is an awesome car too, it is European champion after all  |

BTW, I donīt think that any manufacturer releases a car without testing it first. Especially a race machine? |
Of course they should test the car as much as possible.
But the concept of the car exists for such a long time, maybe i understood something wrong but wasnīt it always the same designer but in different teams (aero one, serpent,...). If Iīm wright and it was the same designer, it should be enaugh testing?!?! 5years but as i said I might have misunderstood something. And i will ask one of the teamdrivers of team dorango (Martin Achter) cause i live in germany and there will be a race where i will ask him. sorry for my bad english cheers Till |

I think it's fair to say that the layout of the car is tried and tested over years now but its something different to build and race a prototype (where it is no problem if something breaks) or to develop and sell a competitive KIT. I am quite sure you would be the first to moan if you buy a new car and something breaks because it is not tested properly. :p Just my 2 cents. |
the new Durango is looking like pure build quality incarnate. maybe Team Durango are aiming at setting a new standard in producing the first really reliable, bulletproof, and unbreakable car? we all know how many races are prematurely ended through accidents.

Does anybody know what material the pinion and ring gears for the diff are made of, composite plastic or alloy ?
