Well done to the colchester crew for putting on a great meeting today. immaculately run as has come to be expected from colchester model car club.

I loved the track, really kept you on your toes and rewarded consistant neat and tidy driving but still allowed for great racing as was shown in the short courses, 3 wide over the doubles was awesome

Can't wait to see some photos and video

A big thank you to Craig, Tom and Big Dave for yet another well organised event.
A great days racing had by all, especially unlucky George not being unlucky today by taking the 4wd and SC wins.
Bring on round 4

racingdwarf 22-04-2012 05:58 PM

Sounds like it went well and rostrum was all good as was the track! any idea of the 2wd result?;)

spindles69 22-04-2012 06:01 PM

Big hand clap to all at colchester for a great days racing:thumbsup:.
Best moment for me today was watching Mr Hubbard limping round for the last lap of q3 and Mark Lambert catching him on the last corner, for Ben to gun it and beat him over the line by miliseconds superb:thumbsup:.

Great meeting, shame my car had strange electrical gremlins all day.
Top class photos, I'll post one of my own after I've found a big enough hammer to smash my Frysky receiver with!

Just a quick not to say well done to the colchester crew for producing a good track despite all the bad weather the past few weeks. the track held up well and was challenging and fun to drive. my only slight gripe was the rostrum, sturdy and high enough but i think it just needs to be that bit longer, 8 drivers was a squeeze but 10 for the finals and the need to use pallets for people to stand on shows it does need to be just that bit bigger. that aside a great day and looking forward to the round later in the year.

I agree with colin i liked the track and enjoyed it more once i got used to the bumps one thing i think needs some tlc are the double jumps or could just be my driving lol.But well done a great day bring on round 4.

It was close enough for me to squeal like a girl:lol:

Ben Hubbard 10 / 326.45
Mark Lambert 10 / 326.70

Well done to all:thumbsup:

A hideously tough day for me. Of 6 attempts at taking the car out: I snapped a drive shaft in second round. Broke another drive shaft in Leg 1 of the Finals. Snapped a shock in the 2nd leg of the finals (see above) and the battery link wire came out and left me parked up for a lap in leg 3. BUT - it was a good day and really enjoyed the racing. Thanks to all involved:thumbsup:

Marshalling the SC trucks was eventful to say the least and have some vids I'll post up when I get a few mins to push the button.
