It's mothers day (march 18th) - I'm doomed:(

And what better gift could you possibly offer; than a whole day of quality time alone with her children without looking at a long faced husband, wishing he was racing. You racing is not a selfish act. If anything, it is pure altruism and once you convince yourself you'll be ready to sell this buffed and polished turd to the one who holds the, 'application for day release' in her left hand and the pre-manufactured stamp of 'denied' in the right.

I consider myself lucky. My BRCA rounds were cleared by 'the powers' before said 'powers' realised what day it was. Now bracing myself for a series of legal challenges on the already signed pink-pass!

Well a bit of a cock up on my part, but I see the first round clashing with Mothers day as a good reason for you lot to put your hand in your pocket and take the old dear to a proper restaurant in the evening for nice food
(after racing) not some grimey buffet chain for a generic roast!

Sorry

I've completed the 'pre-registration' form on the EofE BRCA site, it also asks which round to select, i selected round 2 (Boughton).

Two questions, is there a way viewing entrees for each round as it only appears to currently show the list of entrees for the 1st round only ?

Secondly, i now can't make this round (d'oh) but can't find a way of removing myself, assuming by selecting my desired round on the form that that means i have been booked in ??

Any clarifIcation gratefully recieved :)

I'm sure it will be a last minute book in for most of the locals, but it's very quiet?

Selfishly only caring about 4wd: George is only in SC. Myally and the NBC's (sounds like a band from '64) are off to Stotfold as is SPazza. Who's coming to do 4wd!?

racingdwarf 02-03-2012 12:05 AM

I had to dump the NBC's and go solo in '66, Carl's sea weed adiction was getting out of hand:thumbsup:

Ben, maybe I'll send my twin, and slightly even more ugly brother along for you to play with in 4wd;)

As long as he's 3/4 second slower that would be perfect.

I'm hearing really good things about interest and numbers for this series. Coastal's last club meeting had more drivers than any single round of last years regional!

Very exciting! Can't wait:thumbsup:

Count me in Ben, someone has to deniy you and your Frankenstein car the victory!!!

racingdwarf 02-03-2012 10:34 PM

you think that car is an ugly freek, looked at the driver yet???

Benh 02-03-2012 10:57 PM

So far the car has been referred to as a 'Frankenstein' and 'abortion' (courtesy of Mr Brady)

Car aside, its fugly owner has been puffed up full of swagger waiting to take max points and it turns out its not going to be that easy. Fairweathers back, Southend boys are tooled up, Myallys brother is booking in, the Boughton massive are coming and Lee 'Martin' Flynn has bought some fresh tyres!

Lets hope that some of the many club racers (from all the clubs) that seem to supporting their local off road series over winter will travel to do some if not all of the regional series in 2012.

I've been chatting with a few of the newer NBC racers to try and convince them to give it a go and not to worry about it being called a regional, as we're all a friendly bunch of racers with a like minded hobby.

Also the 2012 battery and motor list is out so if your purchasing anything for the season make sure it's on one of the lists

Its begining to sound like inter-club gang warfare!! Southend tooled up, Boughton massive, the NBC Crew,The Don Fairweather!

Im thinking of holding a "warm up" meeting at Boughton on 25th March to try out the new track, timing equipment etc. I want to get as much feedback as possible from the drivers, if there is anything they are not happy with regarding the track or anything then we can address it before the regional. We want to host the best meeting of the year.
Would anyone be interested in this? If I can get a rough idea of how many people would attend i'll get it organised.

The worst I witnessed was a timing dispute settled with a sawn off spud gun.

Parallel universes aside. I'll be there on the 25th.

Count me in bud be nice to use the car instead of track work:thumbsup:

Benh 05-03-2012 02:00 PM

I have just seen MERCC's race dates for 2012. They have deliberately scheduled their club meetings to avoid all the regional dates!

Tom, do you look after the regions water supply? I don't know what supplements you add, but whatever it is, don't drop the dosage! Roll on round 1.......

kaylon 05-03-2012 08:05 PM

I should be able to make up the numbers at Boughton on 25th March :)

Unfortunately I think the following NBC drivers; Carl, Simon, Jonathan, David & Dan along with fellow EofE driver John Myall are heading to Stotfold at the weekend. It's a shame the dates clash, but we committed ourselves to the meeting way back in October when the Winter Series started.

Something for our Rep to note perhaps when working out dates for 2013 as a number of us do attend the winter series meetings at Stotfold.
