Alright Boss....

May I ask what actual meetings you picked at the BRCA meeting?

Tony

I've never quite understood it?

The poll does not mean much, in a general way it shows the clubs that have lots of active oOple forum users.
The multiple choice thing does not help.

It's a bit of fun that should not be taken seriously.
I'm absolutely sure that the comitee will choose what is best for the series.

I voted for Talywain, Southport and Coventry, I'd like to be going there. Coventry 'cos I've never been and the other two have ace local pubs.

Not supported his dad with Ozfest the track he helps to build or his local regional event kiddy.

Him mm I wonder??? Lol!

If it's just a poll about how many people have allegiances to the various tracks then it's pointless.

Really like Oswestry as an event. Don't really enjoy the track until the grass comes off it.

Not a fan of astroturf so my ideal track would be Tiverton or a much larger PDA.

A much larger PDA would be exspensive. I don't think I could be done for a £10 race fee, and how far would people travel to such a track?

True and a fare comment mate.

LOL - HRC - they were the days :)
They took away the track to build offices and never ever did - the track is still there under under all the grass and weeds

Well get on and uncover it you old git :wub

If you'd have applied for a national this year you would probably have got one, at least the track has been proven

To any of the nine voters:
Can I ask how you decided that each venue was suitable? I would imagine that each of the venues would have to have held a large event (BRCA) in the past to prove itself or would that not matter?

Alec, I think it's based on the 'CLUBS' having proved themselves!

Each application is judged on its individual merits, there are lots of things taken into consideration, having not held a large meeting is not a "stopper".

for example if Tony Evdoka applied for a national at a new track yet to be built his previous track record of organising race meetings would of course be taken into account.

That seem fair enough. Would this also be the same process for the regional applications this year?

I have been running club nights and a winter series (indoor off raod), and the aim is apply for a regional this year. I have secured the same venue as I use for the winter series, however the track will be outdoor and the surface will be grass.
