Sorry did someone say they needed Lazer parts ?

Got 12 of the things, think i can find some steering parts for you Pete :woot:

peetbee 27-09-2011 01:19 PM

cheers guys, the shop I tried to get some from has just refunded me saying that they are out of stock and can't get anymore (surprise surprise!!)

Matt, 12? Really 12?:o

Dyna 27-09-2011 03:19 PM

Yes 12. possibly more, cant remember....

one ZXS, four ZX-RR's, ZX-R Mk1 and 2's, all the optional 3rd party chassis conversions and a ZX or two. Plus a few bitza's. I think.

peetbee 27-09-2011 03:30 PM

I think you ought to organise all your cars and conduct guided tours like at Beaulieu!

axeman 05-10-2011 06:53 AM

don't think I will be in round 1. But i have just ordered a cat 2000 1993. So axeman will doing vintage this year!!!

GRIFF55 05-10-2011 07:58 AM

Does a cat 2000 class as vintage? If so, the old stuff can stay in one piece:thumbsup:

brian s 05-10-2011 08:35 AM

i think the vintage series last year was pre 94 cars, so would assume that it will be the same this year. clarification req`d pete.

peetbee 05-10-2011 08:56 AM

Last year we used pre-1994 release as our cutoff, the year before was pre-93!
Not sure how that happened!
We didn't state the cutoff for this year.

The Cat 2000 was Oct 1993 and the XX was Dec 1993

TBH running those cars would take the fun out of it for me as I love the uncertainty as to whether my car is going to cope with 5 minutes of brushless and lipo action!
But they both qualify if the cutoff stays as pre-94

brian s 05-10-2011 10:03 AM

looks like it`s time for a poll on cutoff point then.

And there's the problem. Yes the cars did START to be made then, but they both went on to the late 90's !! The XX for example didnt go out of production until 1999 if i remember correctly...

So if you ran to that, you would have to police all chassis options and car versions, things like steering and damper set ups etc etc. Lets face it, who want to do that ??

See Brians other thread, and do a points reduction like Balders has suggested :) that way we get more cars running even up to 1999 or so, they will just be penalised on points.

If there are lots of post 93 cars, just bung them in a seperate heat.

Caine 05-10-2011 06:28 PM

For the VONATS in the states they can run anything pre 94, then they have a special class for the SRB's etc.
I dont think we should get to bogged down with the date thing as long as theyre pre 94.

peetbee 05-10-2011 08:38 PM

I believe that's why we changed as well, the reason for bringing up the xx was due to aquery I received on eligibility.

So although we never specified a cut off this year we ought to keep it as pre 94.

GRIFF55 05-10-2011 08:42 PM

94 is a good year, at Least then my cat 2000 can be run and save breaking my xls or anything else.

Belsten 05-10-2011 08:51 PM

when was the xx4 released ?

peetbee 05-10-2011 09:00 PM

1997 Dave, so no chance!
