are you having it pro painted ? and what like ? just noticed ... the poll now reads 12 for and 12 against !!!! that's pretty much a win for rallycross then !! I'd also like to add that the Mini bodied Sharks are also eligable for this .... |
It's with DCM to be painted Computervision style, always liked Tony Pond plus the decals that are supplied are for that car!!
Hey it'll look good on the shelf whilst it's not being run |
13 people for.... now lets see how many actually race :p
|
3 probably Bill! :(
Still we can always share track time with the trucks:o |
Mines built and ready to go...... so that 2 of us
Just need to make a battery strap, or might just use tape like usual :p Then just need my bodyshell, think it's the same guy delivering as Pete's shell !!!! |

Performance
Lol just tried out the beast and was amazed at the LACK of performance:eh?:
So with full peaked 3000 nimhs, the mtroniks viper esc endpoints reset and matching 15x2 motor cleaned and brushes checked the get up and go is somewhat lacking last place here i come!!! pmsl:lol::lol: Hmm maybe the 10.5 or 13.5 brushless setup needs to go in it otherwise i may not clear the jumps:p |
Excellent, I love the idea of these all struggling round on brushed motors! It's looking good there Dave
Mine will be running an old LRP speedo (I don't think reverse will turn off!) plus some elderly 19t brushed motors! I still haven't built my car yet tho, I think Steve will have finished the shell before I get chance!:o What shell did you go for in the End Si? |
I just remembered i have one or two brand new TA02 touring chassis in the loft, fully kitted out with period TRF parts... that would do as a chassis...
That mint, new 911 bodyshell i have is the old 'converted buggy' type and is very wide.... too wide for converted tourers... So i need a new shell. I do remember, years back, that someone did a MK3 Escort RS Turbo/XR3i shell that fitted 1/10 tourers... and as ive always owned Mk3 Escorts and still own three, i really ought to track one of these old shells down to use... Can anyone remember who made them, and if anyones got one still kicking around ? |

I had a parma sierra rs500 in castrol livery on my converted optima mid custom way back in the day:thumbsup: god i loved the huge whaletail on it aswell:wub |
Yes, my 911 is the original 80's Parma shell and i remember the RS500 shell too :wub
I still want to run a Mk3 escort shell though... :D |
I used to have a mk3 shell in black :woot: on a Sand Scorcher chassis ...
But I can't flippin' remember who made !!! |
im still determined to get something sorted..... just trying to sort our a base car first then get something sorted shellwise....
waiting for a few people to get back to me with offers... sounds awesome what everyone has got..... i reckon you should put some pics up to show us what you got... and maybe encourage a few more people.... |
Shell's painted:woot:
Just got to collect it and sort the car out! Matt, I think that you may struggle with that one - I do like the way that it is no surprise to people that you have cars in the attic that you've forgotten about! Just how many cars do you have?! |
Me and the kids will be doing some RallyX at COBRA, Tamiya TA05's and a TB03 will be in use, team paint jobs, may well be Subaru route...

Now, i still need a Mk3 escort shell... if not, something a bit different.... |
Just dug out my old yokomo mr_4 rally but the rear diff dead.
|
John, I spotted someone on MSUK selling one of those posted for £25, could be worth it for spares?
LOL @ Matt - you need to take a look up there, you may find a suitable shell! |
